Chapter 19

Alright! Chapter 19 is done :D

Despite not feeling the greatest right now, I've finally finished it! ^_^

I changed my drawing design and added alot more shading for this pic :3

I like how it turned out... C:

However the chapter is short... T_T

Chapter 19

“Okay Lefty, we’re here now…” Cat cooed as she guided an exhausted Prophet into the village… Lefty only mumbled wearily as she stumbled into view… “*Pant* Okay, so *Huff* let’s see who we need to find...” Lefty mumbled tiredly as her eyes started glowing a bright blue… Cat was unsure if Lefty should strain herself anymore than what she had already done, but considering the circumstances she decided to keep quiet for now…

Lefty breathed as she tried to clear her mind and focus… (Okay Lefty, you need to focus… If you don’t find whoever can help us here the shadows will find us soon… But don’t think of that! You don’t care about it; you need to save your strength so you don’t pass out again…) Lefty chanted to herself as an image focused into sight… It looked like a set of lines at the beginning, but quickly filled in with colors until Lefty could make out the details of buildings… (Yes… Just... A… Little more….) Lefty cheerfully smiled as the images of buildings glowed a bright blue in front of her face… The light started to swivel and dance in front of her as they began to gather closer and closer together around a certain building… (Yes! That’s the building! Just gotta hang on…) Lefty winced as a dull dizziness mixed with pain started to shoot up to her spine…

To everyone around Lefty, she looked as still as a statue… Cat was unsure of what exactly Lefty was doing, but for the moment she seemed to be peacefully calm so Cat didn’t wish to disturb her… Princess stared in confusion as she started to absent mindedly swing her big axe in the dirt… “Um, hello? Aren’t we supposed to be finding shelter so those stupid shadows don’t hurt us?!” Princess grumbled as she crossed her arms and looked at the frozen Lefty…

A sudden gasp came from Lefty as her eyes opened revealing that they were still glowing bright blue… Cat twitched in surprise from the sudden movement coming from Lefty… Lefty’s tail twitched in an unnatural way as it swayed upwards and curled tight like it was squeezing something…

The lights started to move slower and slower as they glowed brightly around a small building in front of Lefty… Lefty winced, (Crud! The pain is becoming too much! I know where, but who?! I just… Need… A name….) Lefty groaned as the pain seemed to slither up to her head like a snake…

Cat didn’t need to be told what would happen next, as she quickly dropped what she was carrying and dashed towards Lefty who stumbled onto the ground and groaned quietly… “Goodness!!! I didn’t think it would hurt her so much!” Shila exclaimed in shock as she quickly helped Cat pull Lefty back up…

Lefty was barely conscious as she barely managed to make one word come out of her mouth, “L.. L.. Lilac…” Lefty groaned as her strength faded and fell back on Shila’s and Cat’s arms… Space slid his sword back out of his sheath, “What the heck does that mean?! That’s a flower! Not a house, let alone a person!” Space whined as he looked around the area still clutching his sword closely…

Stripes rubbed his chin as he looked around at the houses… “Uhh… It could be the name of a street or maybe even a type of building we need to look for…” Stripes mumbled as he studied the houses… Space rolled his eyes, “Great… Just what we need… Another riddle…” Space growled softly as he walked over to Cat and Shila worried…

“So, do you think she’ll be okay?” Space asked his sister Cat, as he examined the unconscious Prophet… A small moan was heard coming from Lefty as her tail twitched a little before stopping again… That seemed to answer Space’s question, as he immediately went quiet… Cat nearly giggled at her older brother Space, “She’s stronger than she looks, and I don’t think she appreciated that…” Cat grinned as she shifted the way she was holding Lefty, so she would be able to prop her up better…

“Right, but that still doesn’t help the fact that we still don’t know where we are supposed to stay…” Stripes muttered as his expression turned serious… The rest of the gang began to ponder exactly what Lefty had meant by ‘Lilac’ as they began to comment about it.

“Uh hey guys, perhaps it’s - !” Princess tried to interrupt as she ran over to the gang... “It could be a specific type of bark that means lilac here..” Stripes grumbled as he looked around at the buildings… “If it was that, wouldn’t it be more obvious Stripes?” Space snorted as he used his sword to draw in the dirt… “It has to be the name of a street… Does anyone know what road we’re on?” Space asked as he started to draw a map on the ground…

Princess twitched her tail angrily and stomped off towards a house in front of the gang, “GUYS?! I think she was referring to the flowers!” Princess yelled angrily as she pointed to the house’s Lilac flowers… The gang just stood staring at Princess dumbfounded, and then quickly rushed over to the house and banged on the door…

“Alright! I’m coming!” A voice hollered as the sound of footsteps running could be heard… The door clicked and then swiftly opened up… A tall, slender man stood in front of the doorway holding a book while looking at the gang…

“Oh my… Is that young lass alright?” The man gasped as he dropped the book he was holding and ran towards Lefty…

Ya, sorry about it being short... I couldn't think of how else to write it... :P

Chapter 18

Hey guys! It's been about two months hasn't it? :/ I'm so, so sorry about not posting something sooner... I had this chapter already done, but many things came up in the month of August and I just couldn't get to it any sooner... :P I won't go into details, and i'm sorry it took so long... Hopefully this thrilling chapter will make it up to you... :3

Okay, so like there are 3 versions of this picture in my gallery... But this on fit the bill better than the other two, so I finished drawing it today... I've really come a long ways in drawing, yet I still think I derped this image... X/ Oh well, here's trying anyways... :3

Chapter 18

For what seemed like hours, Space had seen nothing but bright light blinding his face, but now it seemed that it was dying down as other colors started to take shape around him… “Ugh, I thought we’d never get anywhere!” Princess chirped behind him, which told Space that they had indeed finished teleporting… But Space didn’t care about that at the moment, (Where’s Lefty?) was all that Space could think of as he frantically looked around…

“Did we really make it?” A hushed voice whispered next to Space and Princess, making them turn around to see that it was Cat and Shila, along with Stripes who was looking astonished at the fact they had actually teleported in one piece… “Er… Ya I think we did…” Was all that Space could get out as he patted himself to make sure he really was all there…

“Hey guys! I think I found Lefty!” Shila exclaimed as she ran over towards a log… “What the..? Why is Lefty over there?” Space questioned as he followed Shila to the log… Shila had managed to move the log enough out of the way to reveal that Lefty was indeed lying down in the dirt unconscious… “Lefty!?” Cat screamed as she tried to pick up Lefty off of the dirt... Space quickly grabbed Lefty’s other arm and helped his little sister pull the unconscious lass up enough to where they could position her on the log…

Cat flicked her tail back and forth anxiously as she tried to wake Lefty up... Space wasn’t too sure how effective of a job she was doing, but she was the healer so Space guessed she knew better than him… A sudden cough told Space that Cat had effectively woke Lefty back up, as Cat hastily opened up her bag and started pulling out things…

“What the bees?! Why do I have dirt in my mouth?!” Lefty exclaimed as she hastily started scrubbing her tongue… Space had a hard time holding back a laugh as he watched her freak out over dirt getting inside her mouth… “Lefty you used a lot of power trying to teleport us out of your…, uh house… You could have killed yourself!” Cat exclaimed as she pulled out a cloth and handed it to Lefty, who eagerly accepted it and scrubbed the dirt off of her muzzle… “Grr... Don’t remind me….” Lefty growled as she eagerly tried to stand back up, but she only ended up spinning and falling back down…

Cat grabbed Lefty’s arm just in time to break Lefty’s fall, as she tried to gently help Lefty re-gain her balance… “I would have expected that it would take a lot of energy out of you, but not this much!” Cat exclaimed as she examined Lefty’s status… Lefty flattened her ears in anger and growled, “Grr… I don’t even wish to talk about it! At least I got us out of that scrape! If I hadn’t have done that, the shadow’s illusion would have trapped us in that dreamstate forever!” Lefty growled as she yet again tried to get up, and then quickly fell back down with a groan…

Space’s ears perked back up, “Wait! That was a shadow’s doing?!” Space yelped in horror as he slowly remembered and quickly drew out his sword… Lefty winced as she tried to move her weak leg, “Gee… You guys catch on fast… Ya it was a shadow! I thought you guys knew that! You need to read expressions better…” Lefty huffed angrily as she desperately tried to stand without shaking… However she couldn’t do so for very long and simply sat back down, angrily growling everytime she failed to get back up… Her weak leg didn’t help either…

Stripes pulled out his staff, “Like we would know that! Sheesh…” Stripes rolled his eyes annoyed; then fixed his gaze on Space and Shila who frowned at him, “However we can deal with that later… Lefty, you said a shadow had us under a spell right?” Stripes asked as his staff hummed… Lefty huffed and gave up trying to move for the moment as Cat helped her sit down without hurting her leg too much, “Y..Yes… Why do you…?” Lefty asked but was quickly interrupted as a glowing yellow ray burst into the sky, followed by a blood curdling scream that made Lefty shiver and squirm back further against the log she was propped up on…

“That’s why…” Stripes growled as a hissing sound echoed through the trees… Lefty’s eyes shrunk in horror as she screamed and she began claw the dirt underneath underneath her paws. Everyone else, save Cat, immediately grabbed their weapons and prepared themselves for the worst… Lefty breathed heavily as her eyes darted back and forth, as if she was waiting for something to jump out and try and rip her up like the bear had tried to do, but the forest remained silent… Once Lefty had enough time to calm down and catch her breath, she focused her senses and ‘light powers’ to see if there was anyone out there…

The hissing around them soon turned into the sound of laughter, not the good kind, but the kind that made the gang’s skin crawl… “Why are they laughing?!” Princess growled as she held her axe up even higher above herself. Space looked over his shoulder at Lefty while keeping his sword steady, “I don’t really care about that, rather I wish to know why they aren’t showing themselves!” Space snorted in frustration as he quickly turned his gaze back to the trees, as if waiting for something to spring out on them…

“They… They’re mocking us…” Lefty whispered as she pulled her hood over her head even tighter, “They don’t think we are even worth attacking now that they know how young and inexperienced we are….” Lefty whimpered as her eyes glowed an even brighter shade of blue, making Lefty scream and claw the earth, “St… Stop IT!!! STOP IT RIGHT NOW!!!!” Lefty screeched in desperation as she growled and clawed the air…

Cat had to literally grab Lefty’s arms to keep her from drawing out her sword, as she screamed and kicked the dirt, “Lefty calm down! What in the world are you yelling at?! Do you honestly want the shadows to come out and attack us?!” Cat yelled at Lefty as she meekly tried to pin Lefty down… Lefty seemed to have re-gained some of her reason as she stopped kicking and hastily grabbed her cross necklace huffing and half way whimpering, “They… They tried to get into my head…” Lefty replied to no one in particular as the blue light dimmed around her eyes, leaving terror left on her face, “S… So many… They were spitting horrible remarks… *Huff* Then they…” Lefty stopped and gripped her necklace hard and grimaced, “N… Nevermind…. Let’s just get out of here…” Lefty whimpered as she shakily stood up…

Cat expressed great concern as Lefty wobbly stood up, but said nothing as she helped her re-gain her balance again… “Stripes which way is the quickest to the next village?” Space flicked his ear in concern as he tightly gripped his sword… Stripes perked his ears up and immediately dragged out the map and began searching, “Mmmm… Well if we didn’t have that nasty shadow prank us we would have arrived to the next village by sunfall. However, it’s just thru these trees and then we’re there…” Stripes added hastily as he quickly stuffed the map back into his pocket…

Shila twitched her tail irritably, “Okay then we need to move now… We can’t afford to be playing at the time when the enemy comes out the most…” Shila exclaimed as she frantically looked for the exit. Suddenly her ears perked up as she looked to the right of her, “Over there! I see the exit! We can make it!” Shila cheered as she dashed off. The others exchanged glances as they quickly ran towards the exit, followed by Cat trying to help Lefty walk/stumble over to the exit…

“Just a few more paces, young Prophet… I promise you’ll be safe soon...” The stone cross whispered to Lefty as she tiredly dragged herself forwards without a word… “Just hang in there… Remember to have faith! You’ll make it!” The cross tried to comfort Lefty… Lefty simply flicked her tail angrily but didn’t reply as the gang reached the exit…..

Can you believe that this marks me finishing about one-third of the story already? :D Exciting! ^_^

Unfortunately I have some bad news.... My computer has not been the best of friends recently... It's got alot of glitches and doesn't like high grafic websites and games... That includes Blogger... D: So this may be the LAST post on blogger for my story... (nooooooooo!!!!!!) But guys, IF it is I will make sure to still write the story... It's is NOT that I have lost interest in writing this story, it's just that I have many other things to attend to... (Such as school since this year I have alot more homework than usual...) Anyways, please forgive me if i'm busy and you don't see any updates... :/

Chapter 17

Chapter 17

Ok, so I had some fun with this one... :3 I can't give away any spoilers, but I will say it was just funny to write. :D Anyways, i'm sorry if it gets a little confusing in this chapter. :P I tried to make it as clear as I could help it, so please bear with me... 

Oh I just love this picture! :D It was so neat to draw and such! ^_^ The colors are so playful! :3 Oh, and look who makes a cameo! My good friend Midara's character shadow thingy she made for my contest! X3 Congrats bud! I put it in there for my chapter! I hope you like it! :D

And without further ado, here is chapter 17 that you guys have been waiting forever for! XD

Chapter 17

“Alright, now who’s gonna explain exactly what you all thought you were doing trying to run off?!” Lefty’s mom growled as she slammed her paw on the table; obviously still fueled by fear and anger from a few minutes ago… Lefty squirmed in her chair as she eyed her mom in horror… “M…Mom… We didn’t think…” An abrupt “SLAM” made Lefty jump in surprise, “That’s right, you didn’t think! I’ll tell you that you will be using your mind a lot more often young lass! Perhaps part of your punishment should be going to college summer camp, so you can actually learn to use that head of yours!” Lefty’s mom frowned as she shakily microwaved a cup of coffee in the microwave…

Lefty shrunk back in her chair as she continued to eye her mom in horror, “I’ve never seen her so angry before…”, Lefty telepathically communicated to the group. Stripes scooted his chair, making a loud squeak as he looked at Lefty’s mom, “With all due respect miss… err… mom… We honestly didn’t mean to alarm you! We were playing you see, and…” Once again Stripes was interrupted by Lefty’s mom as she set down her coffee abruptly, and took a deep breath… “Stripes, you are the older brother and I’m very disappointed in allowing your sister to get involved in you guy’s silly act… You are not allowed to drive anywhere for a whole two months!” Lefty’s mom coolly spoke as she sipped her coffee…

Stripes blinked in surprise at her sudden emotional shift towards him, “Err... Uh ya, I’m sorry that I got her involved into this…” Stripes stammered the words out of his mouth as he looked at Lefty embarrassingly… Lefty returned the gaze with another embarrassed look, as she knew that he was feeling the same way about playing bro and sis despite Stripes having two sisters….

Out of the entire group Shila remained the most silent as she watched the whole group try and play through the scenario, (Okay, as long as I’m not brought up into this conversation, I’m good..) Shila shakily breathed as she eyed Lefty’s mom… Lefty’s mom seemed to notice Shila’s nervousness as she looked back at her and growled, “Are you the one who gave them this idea? You don’t look familiar to me, and I know that my kids wouldn’t do this without a trouble maker…” Lefty’s mom growled at Shila, making her cower in fear… “I…” Shila stuttered, but was thankfully interrupted by the sound of a car quickly zooming up the road…

A car door quickly opened and then slammed, as the sound of hurried footsteps could be heard throughout the house making the gang wonder exactly who was in such a hurry to get home…. That was quickly answered when the door opened, “DIAMOND! Why did you not pick up the kids at the library?!”….

Diamond blinked in confusion before slowly setting down her coffee on the table, “I… I... What do you mean Gregory?! The kids don’t even go to the library today!” Diamond replied confused, as she looked at the gang. Lefty, Stripes, Space, Shila, and Cat shifted uncomfortably in their positions as they turned towards the hallway to look at Gregory, whom they couldn’t see because of the wall blocking their view, but could definitely hear tromping towards the group…

(Crud, crud, crud...! I didn’t think this was going to get so dramatic! I’d better get ready in case I need to teleport us all out of here…) Lefty frowned as she waited for the footsteps to get closer so she could see her Dad’s form emerge from behind the wall… “What do you mean mom? It’s Monday, remember? We always go to the library to help volunteer with the movies!” A young feminine voice replied with a bit of hurt in it… (That voice sounds a little too familiar…) Lefty frowned in confusion as she looked at Diamond who seemed to be expressing the same thing as the rest of them… This made Lefty have ice run down her spine as she was quickly begging to put two and two together…

The sound of something rolling fast followed by skipping footsteps came closer, until three shapes came close enough into view for Lefty to actually recognize them…  “Oh my great stars!!!” Diamond screamed in horror as she accidently knocked off many items in her surprise... Lefty managed to catch the napkin dispenser with her paws just in the nick of time as she shakily placed it back on the table and stared at the figures in front of her in complete surprise…  “Oh snap…” Lefty gasped in awe…

A tall slender brown canine lass with blue spots that covered her face, stood a mere two feet in front of Lefty… (It’s an identical Lefty!) Lefty blinked in surprise as she looked at the other figure… Standing next to the young canine lass, was a very tall young lad with blond fur and a dark blue wispy spot on face that wore a light blue shirt and blue jeans along with a black jacket and dark grey glasses who smiled at Lefty’s duplicate self as he ran into her. (He looks like Stripes’ twin!) Lefty stared dumfounded… However, soon followed was Gregory, Lefty’s err… Dad, who exchanged a look of confusion and fear…

“Uh Mom, who are these people?! And… Why do they look like us?!” The other Lefty blinked in utter surprise while she studied Lefty… Diamond looked at Lefty and the gang in horror and quickly got up from where she was sitting, dropping her coffee mug in her hands as she screamed again… “I don’t know! They ain’t my kids!” Diamond screeched as she ran up and clutched Gregory’s arm for protection…

In the chaos Lefty had managed to catch Diamond’s flying coffee mug with her ‘light powers’, since it was too far away for her to reach, and was now holding it in mid-air while she slowly stood up from where she was sitting… From the startled family’s perspective Lefty looked like a strange alien. With her light cloak covering most of her face, and the fact that she was holding Diamond’s coffee mug in mid-air really sold it…

“Oh my lord Lefty… You’re theory was right! You really are a dimension traveler! You brought us aliens!” The other Stripes gaped in both horror and amusement as he flicked his sister’s ear… Lefty looked at Stripes’ clone embarrassingly, while the sister Lefty flicked her brother Stripes’ ear back in anger and fear, “Stripes, now is NOT the time to be playing with me! We actually have a dilemma on our paws!” The other Lefty growled as she eyed her so called ‘clone’ in fear and put up her paws in order to attack if necessary…

The Prophet Lefty simply stood still with the mug floating in mid-air, (“Man, I got to think of something to buy us some time! If I don’t concentrate enough, we might end up just having half of us transported… Ugh, what can I do to convince these guys we’re not going to harm them? Uh, maybe I should play it safe and act like those aliens in that movie that tried to say ‘We come in peace’ or something… Nah, it’s not going to be very effective… But, it may buy us some time…”) Lefty nervously thought to herself as a small grin appeared on her face…

“Uh, we come in peace?” Lefty sheepishly replied to the horrified family… Either the family didn’t hear her, or they just didn’t care because Gregory soon picked up a broom lying about and pointed it at Lefty and then growled… “Get out…” Gregory snarled at Lefty, as his eyes seemed to glow in fiery anger…

Lefty didn’t quite know what to do, as shock ran down her spine, but that was quickly replaced with a sense of duty as she straightened up to face her attacker… “I said peace you!” Lefty voice boomed, “Me and my friends mean no harm, and we hope no harm comes from you either!” Lefty replied with a small growl in her voice, as she slowly hovered the floating coffee mug she was still holding over to Diamond who cautiously grabbed it…

Lefty stole a warning glance at her friends before looking back at the strange family that resembled her own… “I mean no harm so I will speak as to why we are here, and then you can make us leave!” Lefty flicked her tail irritably as she replied, “We come from a place quite similar to yours on a mission… Although we did not mean to actually encounter you, we promise that it was done without malice… We seek out the location of a place called ‘stone hill’ in order to accomplish our task, and then we will be gone… However, In order to get there we must pass through here first… Now, do you understand?” Lefty questioned, showing nothing to be able to tell her intensions on her face as she looked at her ‘dimensional family’ angrily… “I think they are a mirage you guys… They aren’t real anyways… We are in a dream created by Shadows or something … I can’t sense anything much other than that right now, but at least play dumb so I can get us out of here!” Lefty spoke to the gang telepathically, trying to warn them…

The other Lefty would have been the first to reply, but her mom, Diamond, put her tail around Lefty protectingly while she snarled… “Don’t you dare touch us!!!” Diamond screamed, still not convinced… Stripes’ twin blinked at the group before he fixed his glasses on his face, “I do not quite understand this… Perhaps you had better prove it…” Stripes’ twin halfway grinned as his voice seemed to hint that something was off…

“What?! Do you even know what you are saying?!” Space eyed the other Stripes in fear as he huddled closer to everyone else, “Don’t even think about it Lefty, we don’t know what they’re thinking!” Space exclaimed to Lefty sitting next to him, trying to secretly warn her they should get out of there…

Suddenly a faint outline of something appeared visible to Shila’s eyes, making something creep eerily down her spine… She wasn’t sure but it looked like a little taller version of Lefty standing behind the other dream-like Stripes, moving along with him as he moved. (Uh, Lefty!!! I think we need to get out of here now!!!!!!) Shila screamed to Lefty through her mind, as the outline of the figure became more noticeable to the gang….

Lefty flicked her tail in response as she extended her arms out, “You ask something very foolish… However, I will allow it because you are the same person from another dimension. But be warned that if you try something you will regret it…” Lefty grumbled as she eyed her group, hoping that they were reading her… Shila and Cat winked back in reply, while Princess simply blinked in confusion; however Stripes and Space seemed to understand as they reached for their weapons… Lefty nearly wanted to laugh at the mirages just because they looked so dumbfounded! They had apparently bought her story, and were now backing up a bit as if they expected her to show them something…

A bright light started to come from Lefty’s eyes and spread to the rest of her body…. The dimensional family only blinked and held up their arms to shield their eyes from the glow that seemed to engulf everything around them… Space closed his eyes tightly as he braced himself against the bright light, “Lefty you had better be careful trying to teleport us out of here! You have only tried this once, and not with more than just trying to teleport yourself before! Don’t overdo it!” Space silently tried to warn Lefty as the light seemed to be the only thing that he could see now… 

Chapter 16

Alright, so here we are again with another upload! ^_^ I just love writing these chapters! :D So I bet you're wondering what's going to happen in this chapter, right? Well, let's just say it's interesting......... X3

Bwhahaha! X3 I liked drawing this photo! XD It was a neat challenge to make the expressions... :3 But it sure did take forever to draw it :P Anyways, you're probably wondering what in the world is going on?! Well, Space is pretty surprised about something... Wonder what? C: Hehe... Guess you'll have to read then............

Chapter 16

“You guys are in sooooo much trouble! And as for you the rest of you, I expect that your parents won’t be too happy either! Especially you Princess, did your parents allow this?!” The strange canine’s voice questioned harshly… Lefty shakily peered through her friends to try and see exactly who was talking, but she couldn’t make any good details because Space and Shila were covering her up…. Lefty grunted underneath her breath, “What good is it if you can’t even tell who it is?!” Lefty grumpily whispered to Cat beside her… Cat twitched her ear in agreement, but kept her eyes on the cracks between Space and Shila… A “CLANG!” made Lefty and Cat jump in surprise, as they reached for their swords, thinking that Space was fighting with whoever was talking…

“Miss Lefty’s Mom! I..! We didn’t think you would be here!” Space squeaked in surprise as he dropped his sword making a loud clanging noise on the ground… Lefty’s Mom put her hands on her hips and growled softly as she swung her tail irritably, “O…. So you thought I wouldn’t be here huh?! Well… You thought dead wrong!!! You all are going to be in sooooooo much trouble once I get a hold of your parents!” She barked, “And don’t even dare think of running off again! I’m going to make you stay at my house until your moms and dads come pick you up! Even you young wolf lassie! I’ll make sure that whoever your parents are hear about this as well!” Lefty’s mom snorted as she pointed to Shila and grabbed Space’s arm; making Space yelp in shock and surprise…

Seeing Space getting dragged off by the mysterious figure made Lefty nervous as she drew out her sword in anger, “You leave him alone creature!!!!” Lefty screamed as she busted out from behind her friends with her sword drawn up in anger… The figure screamed in fear and quickly let go of Space, looking on in horror at her attacker… Lefty had never been so angry before, she wanted to make sure that no one hurt any of her friends, even if it meant attacking someone… She looked at the person on the ground in fury as she drew her sword up, “Lefty?! What in the world are you DOING?!?!?!”The figure looked at her in horror…

Lefty blinked in surprise as her mind identified the figure, “Mom?!” Lefty replied in confusion as she quickly dropped her sword in horror at what she had almost done… Lefty’s Mom got up shakily and grabbed Lefty harsh on her shoulder, making Lefty yelp in pain, “You’re here too?! You and your brother are coming home right now! You are both soo grounded for a whole month! No TV, video games, laptop privileges, or drawing! And don’t even think about sweet talking your Dad over the issue when he gets home!” Lefty’s Mom screamed at Lefty, mostly fueled from the amount of chaos, while dragging her down the road...

Lefty gritted her teeth while she opened her eyes and looked at her mom in confusion, “Wait, what?! What in the world are you talking about?! What do you mean me and my brother mom?!? I NEVER HAD A BROTHER!!!!” Lefty screamed as she tried to pry herself from her mom’s harsh grip in pain… However this didn’t go very well, as her weak leg gave out from underneath her and Lefty fell onto the ground with her mom still harshly holding her arm up like a ragdoll.  Lefty’s Mom then stopped and allowed her daughter to break loose before turning to face the shocked and now confused group of Lefty’s friends; eyes glaring in fury as she pointed at them…

“You are all coming with me NOW! Or else I’m calling the police! Understand?!” Lefty’s mom roared as she flattened her ears at them… “Stripes, drop that stupid stick! You are coming with your sister NOW!” Lefty’s mom screamed at Stripes angrily… Stripes looked at Lefty’s mom in horror, before looking at Lefty. Oddly, something about Lefty’s facial expression made Stripes not drop his staff, but rather he turned his wizard staff invisible and put it in his coat, before pretending to let go of it… Once this was accomplished, Lefty’s mom snorted in relief as she signaled them to follow her silently with her tail…

The gang followed silently wondering in confusion as to why Lefty’s mom was here as they walked along silently… Space eyed Lefty’s mom in horror at the thought of her calling both his and Cat’s mom, who would be having a heart attack if she heard about this…. The one thing he hated the most was being accused of the unknown….

The rest of the gang didn’t look much better as Space glanced behind him, Shila was nervously playing with her tail and kept guiltily glancing behind her as if something was just waiting to jump out at her, like perhaps a whole military troop or something like she had somehow illegally crossed the borders undetected… He couldn’t even begin to imagine how much trouble they would get into for trying to explain something like that, and Cat seemed even more nervous than him as she kept letting her gaze drift over to Lefty and Stripes, who were saying nothing at the moment but were looking at each other as if they knew something… The only person who seemed to be not so scared was Princess, who was looking forward in confusion, but showed no signs of fear…. The only thing that was breaking the silence was an occasional bird chirping in the distance as it would stop and then start chirping back up again as they walked along the dirt road that looked surprisingly similar to the road that Space remembered Lefty saying was called ‘Charlotte’s road’ since her granny’s sister owned the piece of land next to Lefty’s parents…

Space then looked over at Lefty and Stripes; he could see fear in Lefty’s eyes as they reached the end of the road with her house in front… “Wait, her house is here?! So we really were still on Earth? Wait that’s not right… There’s something weird going on here, it can’t really be her actual house… We were in Estyren just a few minutes ago; we couldn’t have just magically walked deeper into the forest and got lost a few miles away from her house! That wouldn’t explain why Shila was here then! Grr… Something’s off… Hey Lefty are you listening?” Space questioned inside his mind, silently hoping that Lefty was listening to him…

A quick flick of Lefty’s ear ahead of him notified him that she was indeed listening to him as her gaze remained focused ahead, “Ya, I picked up a few seconds ago after you snorted loudly… *Giggle* Seriously, do ya think you could any more obvious? You know I can listen in to minds… Which by the way, my mom’s mind isn’t giving any response, let alone even a signal… It’s weird…. Anyways, I don’t know what’s going on either, but one thing is for sure… How exactly did we end up here?! I mean, I would believe it was us possibly sleepwalking or something, but it doesn’t add up with Shila here… And besides, weren’t you like, sleeping on the bus trip when you got here? It wouldn’t make any sense to believe that… But my ‘mom’ here seems to think otherwise… She keeps giving me that look that I’ve done something punishably wrong… Yet I have no clue what that is… Anyways, why does she keep saying Stripes is like my brother or something?! It’s totally creeping me out, ugh… Anyways, I think we should play along for a little and then once I’ve concentrated hard enough I’ll try teleporting us out of here… Sound good everyone?”  Lefty asked, with a quick yep coming from everywhere in Space’s mind…

Space had to shake his head in order to clear the chronic headache of echoes in his mind, “Ugh Lefty!!!! You had everyone listening inside of my mind?! I sooo do not approve of that!” Space growled inside of his head… A faint giggle echoed in reply, “Hey! It’s much easier on my powers that way! Besides, *chuckle* it gives us an advantage over the enemy, *Cough* I mean mom, right?” Space could almost imagine Lefty cracking a grin saying that, as he snorted…. “Alright fine… But make sure that you can teleport us all out k? I don’t want anyone left behind because that will be the end of us, got it?” Space frowned as he telepathically tried to talk to Lefty… He could never get used to that…

Lefty flicked her ear again in reply, before Space sighed and glanced back at the group that was nodding at him… “So go ahead general Space, *Chuckle* lead the way…” A voice laughed in his head as Space frowned at Stripes, who was trying hard to keep from giggling and alerting Lefty’s mom… (Sigh* fine, we can play low profile for now…) Space frowned as the gang reached the front door of Lefty’s house…

Ok............. So that was a weird chapter.... :/ Wonder what Lefty's mom is doing in Estyren? Err... Earth... Err I mean! ... Nevermind... -_- >:3 Go figure.... So Anyways, it's rather confusing for the gang huh? Well, perhaps the next chapter will help sum it up :D (oh, I forgot to mention this week i'm doing 2 chapters instead of just 1... So I'll have the next one up very soon! :3 )

Chapter 15

Hey ya'll! ^_^ It's that time again when I update Lefty's Story with a new chapter! :3

Meh, this picture was fairly easy to draw :3 Although, it still looks really awsome! :D Anyways, without further ado here is Chapter 15! I hope you guys like it!

Chapter 15

“Rise and shine sleepy head!” A chirpy voice jolted Space from his sleep… “Ugh, Lefty… Why did you do that?” Space groaned as he opened his eyes… Suddenly, Space yelped in surprise as his vision focused on the canine lass… Sure enough Lefty was in front of him, but she was floating… Space was clearly taken back by seeing Lefty just hovering in front of him…

“*Chuckle* Cause… It’s time to get going, and you’re the last person to wake up! For pity’s sake, even Princess is already up!” Lefty giggled as she heard Princess protest something behind Lefty that she knew all too well… Space rolled his eyes as he slowly stood up… “Ugh, okay. But may I ask as to why you are just floating about?” Space raised a concerned eyebrow at Lefty… Lefty flashed a big toothy grin at Space and set herself back down on solid land again… “Cause I can if I want to, and also Cat says that as long as it keeps my leg from having so much pressure on it then she couldn’t care less…” Lefty deviously smiled at Space…

Space shrugged, “Fine, as long as you don’t just pass out suddenly…” Space frowned as he grabbed his armor and started putting it back on... “I think I’m already pretty aware of that thanks to Stripes’ compliant last night, remember?” Lefty grinned as she looked at the wizard behind her… Space mumbled something and walked off, leaving just her and Stripes, since the rest of the group was still having breakfast over the put out fire….

Stripes shifted his feet along the dirt, “Err... So ya… Nice weather this morning, no rain…” Stripes mumbled as he stared at the dirt beneath his feet… Lefty sighed and rolled her eyes towards Stripes, “Okay, so out with it… You’re still concerned, right? Perhaps even a little bit guilty for arguing last night?” Lefty eyed Stripes while cracking a small grin… Stripes sighed as he rubbed the back of his head, “A little yes... But, I’m mostly just worried about this whole adventure… Since you know…. What happens in the third book…” Stripes frowned at the dirt still…

Lefty nearly facepalmed herself, “Stripes… You know that I was upset last night… But that doesn’t change anything! I easily repair…” Lefty frowned at Stripes for even thinking that, “Besides, we don’t truthfully know if that’s gonna happen in the third book or not! For all we know, we could still find a way back home without having to even deal with any weird ‘Prophet’ destinies…” Lefty grinned as she placed a paw around Stripes’ shoulder…

Suddenly Lefty’s cross necklace glowed a very bright blue in response… Lefty wanted to squeak in surprise but the glow around her necklace vanished as soon as it had come, making Lefty ponder why it had done that in the first place…

Stripes grinned a bit, “Fine… But, don’t do anything stupid or else…” Stripes teasingly flicked Lefty on the ear, causing Lefty to squeak in surprise as she snapped back into reality… “Okay! Okay! You win! I won’t do anything stupid!” Lefty giggled as she backed away from Stripes… “Besides, I can actually play superhero until we get home! How about you wizard? Wanna fly too?” Lefty grinned as her eyes glowed a familiar blue as she began to hover above the air…

Stripes grinned and quickly grabbed his wizard staff, making a rainbow-like glow from around himself this time instead of pink… Stripes quickly jumped off the ground and hovered with Lefty also, the duo now giggling as they tried to outdo each other’s height above the ground by hovering higher…

“And just what do you two think you’re doing now?” Shila grinned, as she emerged from the trees and back onto the road… “What do you know Stripes? From up here everyone looks like bugs!” Lefty laughed as she looked at Stripes with a big toothy grin… “I agree Lefty… What do you say we just fly up here until we reach the next village?” Stripes smiled as he flew around Lefty in circles… Lefty giggled as she twirled around in circles, making it look like she was a ballerina… “Better yet, why not just stay up here forever?” Lefty squealed in delight as she flew around in some zigzags…

“HAVE YOU TWO LOST YOUR MINDS?!” A voice below the two screamed, making both Lefty and Stripes jump in surprise the best you could in mid-air… Lefty looked down to see that Space yelling at them, and standing next to him was his little sister Cat, who both seemed like they weren’t very pleased at the moment… “Hey no fair! I want to fly too!” Princess whined as she deviously eyed the childish canines hovering in the air… Shila glared at Princess, trying to warn her not to say anything at moment, which made Princess immediately hush….

“Space is right Lefty… You guys need to stop encouraging each other to recklessly use your abilities! Lefty, what if you passed out from that height?! You would fall to your doom!” Cat screamed hysterically as she eyed Lefty… Lefty and Stripes sheepishly blushed as she slowly started to descend to the ground, feeling very guilty about that idea…. “Not only that, but you’re giving away our position! What if those shadows attack again!?” Space snorted… Lefty frowned and bent her head down, nervously pawing the dirt road…. “Sorry… Just trying to lighten the mood…” Lefty sheepishly grinned…

Space sighed and quickly cracked a smile, “It’s okay you two… I don’t think I could resist playing in the air either…” Space giggled... Stripes just burst out laughing, while Lefty managed to crack a small smile… Shila put her hands on her hips and let out a loud laugh, while Cat also cracked a small laugh… Princess had stifled a giggle, while the whole gang colasped on the ground laughing their insides out…

Lefty was the first to calm down, “Okay, *Chuckle* We need to get going now…” Lefty smiled as the rest of the gang picked themselves up…

About an hour and a half had passed while the gang traveled along the dirt path, leaving everyone’s muscles aching and screaming for a break… “Stripes how much longer…….” Princess whined for the 5^th time in the last seventeen minutes… Stripes sighed and rolled his eyes, as he studied the map once more, “Okay Princess, this is the last time I tell you that we should be there before noon… Just keep your eyes on the sun, and when it reaches the highest point in the sky you can ask once more, ok?” Stripes grumbled as he looked at the map’s locations again…

Princess didn’t seem satisfied by this, as she kicked the dirt on the road, making dust trails for everyone behind her… Out of all of the gang Lefty seemed to be the most tired, she had given up using her ‘light powers’ to levitate and continued to drag along the ground… When Lefty would do this, Cat would occasionally poke or prod Lefty until she focused herself back up off the ground… But eventually Lefty had become too tired to even do this, as she flopped her feet back down onto solid earth… “Okay, I’m done now… Can’t we rest for a smidge? Otherwise one of you will be stuck carrying a passed out Prophet to the village…” Lefty groaned in a harsh manner, as a frown spread across her face…

Cat put her paws on her hips and silently nodded in agreement, “Lefty does have a point. Why not take a break? It’s not like we need to kill ourselves just getting there…” Cat cracked a small smile as she looked at the dead tired group… Shila smiled in agreement as she wiped her forehead, “Ya, it’s hot out here… But then again it could just be my thick fur coat…” Shila giggled as she shifted her gear on her back to make things a bit more comfortable…

Stripes stopped and whipped around to face the group, “But we can’t stop now! We’re only a few minutes from the village!” Stripes whined in disappointment as his tail dropped, obviously in a hurry to get off of the dirt road… Space smiled along with Stripes as he nervously rubbed behind his neck, “Ya I think we should keep going… We are only a few minutes away and I’d really like to rest there…” Space twitched his tail irritably, but then stopped after he noticed he was doing so, “Err… But that depends on what our leader thinks…” Space nervously grinned as he faced Lefty…

(Our leader? I didn’t think I was really one of those…) Lefty blushed in embarrassment as she looked at all of her friends… “Um, wow… Err I didn’t really think I was much of one of those but-!” Lefty’s ear flicked as a roar echoed ahead of the group, making everyone scream in surprise as they dropped everything and quickly grabbed their weapons… Lefty swore that she had seen something moving along the path way, but the roar quickly became too deafening and had made the wind pick up even faster until the gang had to close their eyes to avoid being stung by the dirt in the air… Lefty felt like every bit of her body was going to blow off any minute, but suddenly the wind died down and the roaring could be more easily distinguished to a voice… “Lefty is that you?! You’re in a whole lot of trouble young lass!” A voice screamed as the sound of pawsteps came running towards them…

Both Stripes and Shila immediately ran up to Lefty to cover her, as Space stood in front of them ready to pounce… Cat had managed to squeeze in with Lefty as she looked ahead in horror… Princess however had slung her small axe over her and was swinging it behind the group in case something decided to attack them from behind…

The voice sounded nearer and angrier as the patter of pawsteps increased in beat, “You have got a whole bunch of explaining to do! You and Stripes both!!!!” The voice growled, even though the gang still couldn’t see the figure’s details quite yet as it ran towards them faster…

(Me and Stripes both?! What about the rest of us? And why does that voice sound so darn familiar?! What exactly is going on?!) Lefty panicked as she slumped back further into the huddle…

Chapter 14

Ok, the waiting is over! Chapter 14 is here! ^_^ Can you believe it? 14 chapters already? :D Horray! :3

Okay, this isn't one of my best pictures... :P This was really just lazily (rushed) drawn because I didn't really have much time to go into nice detail this week. D: However, I do like how I drew Phineas and Ferb though... They look alot better than how I typically draw them. :3 So without further ado, here is Chapter 14! :D

Chapter 14

 

“That’s it! It’s been about 15 minutes! I’m gonna go find Lefty right now!” Stripes screamed in his head as he stood up, catching Shila’s attention… “What do you think you’re doing Stripes?” Shila questioned, extending her eyebrow up in question… Stripes frowned at Shila, “I’m going to go find Lefty and Cat, it’s been over 15 minutes and you can think twice about telling me no.” Stripes frowned coldly… Shila stood up in aggravation, (Man, of all the people I had to be stuck with, it had to be a guy who is so stubborn headed!) Shila frowned as she looked at Stripes, her face daring him to bark her up the wrong tree…

A sudden rustle caught both Stripes’ and Shila’s attention… “Lefty?...” Stripes whispered, a glimmer of hope shining in his eyes… The bush continued to rustle more suddenly now, causing Stripes to quickly run over towards the bush, looking for Lefty… “Come on Lefty! This is not funny if you have been just sitting there watching us invisibly or something!” Shila whined as she also looked at the rustling bush…

“Squeak!” A rabbit hastily bounced out of the bush in fright and dashed off in the distance, presumably far away by the time Stripes realized what had happened… Stripes’ tail drooped in defeat, as he walked back towards Shila… “Stripes… I’m sorry… I didn’t think that Lefty would be gone this long...” Shila frowned, taking a gulp of regret for not letting Stripes chase after Lefty…

“Now who says I’m gone?” A raspy voice chimed from the trees as two figures walked into the distance… Stripes’ tail perked back up as he looked at the approaching figures, “Lefty! Oh my goodness! I thought you were a goner by now!” Stripes screeched in joy as he ran up and hugged Lefty… “Ow! Hey take it easy! Don’t squeeze me so hard! It hurts!” Lefty grunted as she tried to push away Stripes while he squeezed her…

Stripes sheepishly backed up and looked at Lefty in joy, “Eh… Sorry… I’m just so relived you’re back… I mean…” Stripes stopped as he noticed that Lefty was rubbing her leg weird... Cat walked up to Lefty and poked her, catching Lefty’s attention as she pointed towards a tree, signaling for her to go sit down… Lefty silently nodded her head and half-limped towards the tree and sat down… Both Shila and Stripes stared in confusion as Lefty sat down, “Uh, did something happen?” Shila asked in confusion at Cat… Cat silently held up a finger and pointed at Princess, who was at the time still sleeping quietly…. Shila noticed this and the gang quietly walked by the sleeping Princess and took a seat next to the exhausted Lefty, while Cat dove into her bag and began to pull out several items…

“Me and Lefty got into a fight…” Cat grumbled as she sifted through the medical bag… “Wait what? Like did you guys bite each other or something?!” Stripes asked in astonishment… “No! We did not! Ugh… I didn’t phrase that right…” Cat grumbled as she pulled out a silk cloth and laid it down… “What I meant was… That we were attacked… By this… It’s kinda hard to descried but… It was like this shadowy bear, that was at least 6 or 7 feet tall, if not taller…” Cat frowned, as she pulled out a weird purple berry… Shila’s jaw dropped, “What?! And you guys like, survived with only minor damage?!” Shila asked in astonishment…

Cat nodded as she began to squeeze the purple berry onto the silk cloth… “Well, yes… But, we just barely did… You see, I had found Lefty and we like talked things out… But just as we were fixing to return, Lefty acted weird, and her eyes turned blue… She said something was near… But after a few minutes passed, Lefty felt satisfied that it was gone, and she suggested that we head back…” Cat mumbled through her mouth as she held onto the silk cloth with her mouth. She then began to unroll Lefty’s pants legs again… Cat made sure to be careful and not disturb her, as Lefty seemed to be resting peacefully unconscious due to the amount of energy that had been drained…

Stripes shifted his position and looked at Lefty before returning his gaze to Cat, “Go on Cat…” Stripes frowned, as he looked at the exhausted, drenched, Lefty… Cat nodded as she applied the silk cloth to Lefty’s leg, making Lefty shudder for a moment unconsciously in her sleep before remaining still once more, “Anyways, the bear suddenly pinned Lefty up to a tree… Lefty tried to reach for her sword, but the bear seemed to notice this and pinned her left arm down… That’s when I threw my small sword at the bear, and it yelped in pain and backed off… That gave Lefty enough time to reach her sword… I don’t quite know exactly what she was doing, but she charged at the bear with more courage than I’ve ever seen before… It was a close call, but Lefty got the bear’s ear, and it started smoking!” Cat exclaimed as she rubbed the cloth on Lefty’s leg, making the purple berry stain Lefty’s fur around the wound..

Shila’s eyes got huge as Cat continued, “So, they like kept attacking and dodging each other’s blows… Finally, the bear had enough and swung at Lefty’s legs… Lefty dodged, but just barely as the bear had managed to scratch one of her legs… Regardless, Lefty still stood up and held her sword… But then she ran towards a giant tree! The bear started to charge at her, but when he reached her Lefty just vanished in a bright light!” Cat exclaimed, catching the gang off guard as their eyes grew HUGE… “I thought she was gone, because the bear just exploded and sizzled away… But when I ran over to pick up my sword, Lefty surprised me and re-appeared! She said she had like teleported and stuff… I asked how, but Lefty just fell down and well.. Here we are…” Cat frowned, as she tied the silk cloth around Lefty’s leg and looked at her handiwork…

Stripes stood flabbergasted, as he looked at Lefty with astonishment in his eyes… “Wow, that’s some courage! I didn’t think Lefty had it in her! Especially since she can’t even catch me when she chases me! Huh, guess I underestimated her…” Stripes grinned, as he looked at the drooling/sleeping canine lass leaning against the tree… Cat walked over to the fire and took off her drenched hood, revealing that she had mud all over her coat… “Right, the bear didn’t get a deep enough cut on her to do any real damage, but she will need to take it simple for the next couple of days, until it scabs over…” Cat frowned as she looked over at Lefty, concerned… She quickly turned her gaze on Shila and Stripes, regardless of how much older they were than her Cat still felt like she had some say so about the situation, “So you guys think you can keep an eye on her?” Cat looked at them seriously… Shila and Stripes exchanged looks, “Ya, I suppose we can easily do that…” Stripes grinned, eyeing Shila in the process who just rolled her eyes…

Cat sighed in relief, “Good… Now if you will excuse me, I’m going to call it a night…” Cat yawned as she walked over to a tree and laid down… “Please forgive me Lefty for having to puppy you these next few days…” Cat silently tried to talk to Lefty in her head, knowing that Lefty probably wouldn’t hear her… In the corner, Lefty slowly grinned, (Oh Cat… You ought to know that isn’t gonna work…) Lefty chuckled in her head, before shifting positions on the tree trunk again….

“Wait, you kidding right? You actually managed to harness that much energy?!” A voice squeaked in surprise… “Hush Space! You’re gonna wake them up, or worse make Stripes wonder why there’s noise when everyone’s supposed to be asleep!” Lefty barked at Space. Space smiled, “Eh.. So what? Like I care… They’ll find out soon enough…” Space grinned… Lefty blushed angrily, “Well, I don’t want them to know! They always act so weird…” Lefty shuddered, reminding her of when they were talking while Cat had cared for Lefty’s leg… Lefty pretended to be sleeping, which was halfway true since she was exhausted, but she was really just listening to them chatting about her, including Cat’s mental conversation about puppying her…

“Prove it…” Space’s voice snapped Lefty back into reality… “Wh…What?” Lefty asked, confused… Space shrugged, “You heard me… Show me how you do all that stuff…” Space grinned… Lefty shifted uncomfortably, “Uh… Well… I don’t know… I’ve never tried it without a reason before…. Besides, I’m not sure that I won’t pass out like earlier…” Lefty sheepishly squirmed… “I’m not gonna tattle if that’s what you think… You said yourself that you just thought of what to do and did it… Can you perhaps like, turn invisible and walk through walls? Or can you fly and shoot out orbs?! I mean that would be sooooo way past cool!” Space grinned, his mind turning at the possibilities his friend held…

(Gee.. Could I really do any of those things?) Lefty thought to herself as she looked at Space, “You can do that and soooo much more, young Prophet… But use it sparingly, lest you wish to pass out again…” The stone cross talked to Lefty again…

Lefty blinked, no matter how many times the stone talked to her, she still couldn’t get used to it talking to her like it knew how to communicate exactly the way she thought… “So, what could we do first?” The curious Space questioned Lefty with big pleading eyes… Lefty nearly laughed, “Boy, for someone who is normally such a quiet, shy, and typically silent mountain lion that I’ve known since childhood, you sure do seem to be breaking character today, yes?” Lefty giggled… Space looked at Lefty curious before his face turned red with embarrassment, “Hey! I’m just curious ok? If you haven’t noticed, we don’t have powers in our world!” Space sharply replied as toyed with his clothes.

Lefty giggled, “Teehee! I know that… Okay I’ll think of something that I can do…” Lefty grinned, as she leaned against the tree once more, careful not to disturb her leg as much as she could help it… Space looked at Lefty and smiled, “Okay… Sounds good… I can wait…” Space smiled as he turned over and looked around… Lefty looked at Space before something zipped across Lefty’s body, causing Lefty to shudder suddenly… Lefty’s cheeks grew very hot, as a wave of emotions ran through her, making Lefty blink in surprise… “Stone? What was that?” Lefty asked, wondering if another attack was coming… The stone glowed brightly, “It’s a strong emotional bond…” The stone whispered back… Lefty blinked in confusion, “Huh? Is it like when you know that you’re friends for life or something? Is Space like, gonna play an important role in aiding me through this mission?” Lefty asked the cross stone, still confused… The stone glowed a number of colors before it made a sort of rainbow hue, making Lefty wonder if it was laughing, “Oh you are sooo naïve….. I guess you can say that in a sense it is that way, young Prophet….” The stone whispered before returning to its original color….

Lefty grunted in confusion, and leaned back further on the tree, still trying to think of something to show Space that would wow him… That’s when a spark of imagination hit her… “Hey Space…” Lefty nudged the drowsy lion, “I’ve got something that I can show you... But just remember that I haven’t tried it before…” Lefty grinned… Space just smiled and stared at Lefty, waiting patiently…

(Ok, here goes nothing..) Lefty sighed, as she concentrated really hard… Her stone cross glowed really bright around the two, before it finally faded away… Space blinked a couple of times before looking at Lefty. That’s when Space gasped, floating above his head was a glowing clear blue image… Lefty smiled as her eyes glowed blue, “Look closer Space…” Lefty smiled, as she looked at the glowing blue object in the air… Space squinted at the floating blue object, when a sudden flash distracted him… Now the clear blue image had moving pictures on it… Space watched as the figures became clearer; it was two people with a small duck? Sitting on a porch…

Lefty looked at Space with glowing blue eyes, “It’s one of our favorite Tv shows… Except, I can control it…” Lefty smiled, as she made the smaller, pointier figure on the image move towards the tree in the fenced backyard and climb it… Space gasped as the squarer figure stood underneath the tree and pointed at the smaller figure, while the err… Duck just sat on the porch staring at the two figures… Lefty smiled, “But that’s not all… I can make it in 3D…” Lefty squealed in excitement as another bright flash stretched across the area…

When Space opened his eyes again, he saw that the illusional tree was now standing in the area, looking as real as a tree could get… Suddenly, the pointier figure fell out of the tree, followed by the square figure who was laughing at the small one… Lefty giggled, “If only you could hear it… But, I don’t know how to project sound to you…” Lefty frowned, as she made the images disappear, followed by Lefty putting a paw on her forehead and groan… “Ugh, but it sure does take a lot out of you though…” Lefty frowned as she rested against the tree…

Space just smiled, “Perhaps, but it was fun wasn’t it?” Space grinned… Lefty huffed, “Ya… I guess it was… I haven’t used my imagination like that in such a long time… I was beginning to go crazy not being able to vent my ideas.” Lefty smiled, as she closed her eyes and dozed off… Space looked at Lefty once more before leaning against his own tree, “I just wish I could have powers too…” Space sighed as he drifted off to dreamland…

Okay, this was mostly just a clean-up chapter... -_- Nothing new really, the gang's still hanging out underneath the trees for the night and such... The next chapters they'll be moving around more. :3 I also kinda squeazed 2 chapters into one here because they were too short otherwise... XP So I guess you got a double dose this week due to the delays. :3 Anyways, I hope you guys liked this chapter! ^_^

Chapter 13

Superhero powers activate! Well not really, but that is what this chapter is mostly about... ^_^ Mastering one's powers and fighting off a totally awsome bad guy! *Ahem* I've said too much already... X3 So without further ado, here is Chapter 13! :D

I like this picture... Mainly because I was drawing mid-action, and I don't do that alot! ^_^; It looks ok in my opinion... The bear's swipe could have been done better, but it was a trial... Anyways hope you like it! :3

Chapter 13

Cat eyed Lefty as she continued to swivel her ears back and forth for what seemed like forever. Her fear ebbing away as every second passed, but enough remained to make Cat still hold her breath. It wasn’t the fact that something was nearby that necessarily frightened Cat at the moment, but the fact that even though Lefty’s ears were swiveling back and forth to show she was still alert, her whole face seemed frozen in a mid-growl as her eyes remained locked on the trees and bush in front of her… Rather this was the stone cross’ doing to Lefty or not, it made Cat feel unnerved that whatever Lefty was sensing was still there… However, Cat said nothing and continued to silently eye Lefty from her position in the mud puddle as rain continued to fall at a steady rate.

Suddenly, Lefty’s eyes glowed fainter until they faded all together and Lefty exhaled for the first time in probably 5 minutes… “I… I think it’s gone…” Lefty breathed as she loosened her grip on her waist where her sword was currently hanging… Cat took this as a sign of relief and slowly stood up and walked over to Lefty shakily… Lefty looked at Cat and smiled through her hood, “Hehe… Phew… Barely missed another attack because of my foolishness huh?” Lefty cracked a weak smile as she brushed off some mud on her fur coat…

Cat loosely grinned and looked at Lefty with relief in her eyes. “Y… Ya… Good thing huh...” Cat shifted her feet nervously as she eyed Lefty, still shaken by the close call… Lefty noticed Cat’s behavior and smiled embarassingly as she tilted her head, “So ya… Let’s say we head back and get dried off… Then we can-!” Lefty was cut off in mid-sentence as a swift black figure pushed Lefty beside a tree with a roar, causing Lefty to yelp in utter shock.

Cat got bug eyed as she tried to figure out exactly what was going on, “Lefty!” Cat screamed as she quickly searched her pockets for a small sword Cat had secretly stashed in her bag when Toby wasn’t around; Cat figured she might need it in case of an emergency…

Lefty squirmed in pain as she gained her reason that there was a massive dark figure holding her hostage at the moment… Lefty didn’t quite know what or who it was at the moment, but she did care to actually get away from the figure, since an eerie feeling had started creeping up her spine in reply… Lefty tried to reach for her sword despite being pinned down at the moment, figuring since Cat didn’t have anything to help at the moment she was on her own, but the tall shadow thing noticed Lefty’s movement and a claw suddenly pinned Lefty’s left hand from reaching it, making Lefty once again yelp in pain…

Between the pain Lefty was feeling at the moment and the utter shock running along her spine, Lefty managed to get her focus back and notice that the figure pinning her was some sort of giant black-bear. But something didn’t quite look right about it… Lefty didn’t know if it was just her vision failing her or if it was just being in a dark forest at night, but the giant bear looked kinda hazy and see through… In fact, when Lefty looked hard enough it almost appeared like the figure was formless and continued to shift in and out of its form like static would… Whatever it was, Lefty decided that she was doomed as her movements were becoming harder to control underneath the weight of the bear, and the fact that the bear’s paws were suffocating her underneath the weight…

The black bear figure smiled in triumph at its catch and raised one of its paws up high, ready to make the final strike on its prey… Lefty’s pupils shrunk as she eyed her attacker in the face, making sure to get every detail of who it was before she was defeated and bared her fangs for the final time… (If only I could reach my sword…) Lefty thought, as she closed her eyes in defeat, waiting silently for the final blow… However, no blow came…

Lefty felt the weight shift and let her go as she quickly gasped for air and then re-opened her eyes to find her attacker roaring and bucking in pain, as if something was wrong… Lefty was dumfounded as her eyes caught a glimpse of something shining through the bear’s fur… A small sword had pierced through the bear’s fur just enough to hurt… Lefty cracked a grin as she saw that Cat was standing a few feet away gasping, as she eyed the bear triumphantly… The bear did not like this as he desperately tried to extend his paw to where the sword was stuck in him…

(What am I doing just standing here for?) Lefty mentally face palmed herself as she grabbed her waist where the sword was located… A small lump told Lefty that she had found it, and she quickly drew it out, causing the sword to start glowing in response… (I’ve got to time this just right… Otherwise I’ll probably black out and Cat will be weaponless…) Lefty thought as the sword glowed and hummed louder, (Maybe I should try to actually focus and hit the bear instead of just blinding it and hoping the light finishes it off like the other times…) Lefty’s mind raced as the sword powered up, making even Lefty squint her own eyes… (Here goes nothing…) Lefty exclaimed to herself as she sprinted towards the distracted bear and swung with all her might…

The bear was caught off guard as Lefty managed to swipe his ear as he dodged her attack… Black smoke sizzled from the bear’s ear, making its eyes slit and take on the appearance of a snake’s eyes for just a moment… The bear did not seem pleased at this and roared loudly, causing Cat to shiver in fear as Lefty winced from it… Taking advantage of this, the bear swung at Lefty with his right paw… Lefty dodged, but just barely, as the bear had managed to graze her left leg as she jumped away… Lefty landed weird, but still managed to stand, as she swung her glowing blue sword at the bear, this time hitting his oncoming paw… The bear yelped and jumped back a little, but still held his ground, as he eyed Lefty with such hate in his eyes that Lefty actually had to look away for a quick moment…

Cat looked in surprise at the amount of courage Lefty was showing, as the two enemies slashed at each other, both refusing to back down until the bitter end… By now, Cat had noticed that Lefty was growing tired, as the bear seemed to continue slashing as though he wasn’t even fazed… Lefty grimaced, as she started noticing that her low enough stamina was giving away much faster than what Lefty wanted it to be doing.. “You’re going to have to find his weak spot now, or you’re gonna be his next meal…” The stone whispered to Lefty, as the bear lunged at her again… “And just how do you think I’m gonna do that when he’s covered in thick fur!” Lefty screamed back to the cross stone in frustration, already aware of the situation…

 The cross stone didn’t reply, but slowly hummed as Lefty’s eyes glowed even brighter than what they were while holding her magical sword… Lefty’s mind whirled as her mind was filled with several images, depicting a sort of scenario where she was fighting the black bear, but it quickly changed each time Lefty failed at a strategy, almost as if she was mentally going through a list of ideas and possibilities… The images stopped swirling so fast, and slowly came to a halt in front of one particular… Lefty eyed the image, when a sudden idea struck her with a sharp force inside her head. Lefty re-opened her eyes, due to the amount of pain that had struck her, and once again found herself standing in front of the bear, dodging attacks…

Lefty suddenly knew what to do, she quickly shifted her position and made a sharp turn towards what looked like a huge pine tree, and stood with her back straight up against it, holding her sword in front of her… (What are you doing?! You’re gonna get trapped!) Cat looked in silent horror at Lefty, as the bear smugly charged towards Lefty at full speed…

Lefty grinned in a smug manner as well and slowly extended her sword forward as if she was afraid of the bear coming at her... The bear roared in delight and charged even faster at her… “Three… Two… One…” Lefty telepathically thought out loud, as the bear was almost a mere three yards from her… The bear then came on at full charge towards Lefty now, but a bright ‘Flash!’ temporally took the bear back in surprise as he collided into the giant pine tree, resulting in a big explosion of black goo, and then finally a sizzle, before the figure disappeared completely…

Cat eyed in horror as she saw that there was her little sword still, but no bear, “And no Lefty!” Cat screamed in her mind, as she ran over and grabbed her sword from the ground… “What do you mean, ‘no Lefty’?” A voice questioned sarcastically in Cat’s mind, making her jump. “Who?” Cat blinked in confusion as she looked behind her, but relief washed over her when she saw who… There, standing in front of Cat’s face, was Lefty giggling… Cat got up and ran over to hug her friend, “Oh my gosh Lefty! I… I thought you had died!” Cat cried as she hugged her friend.

“Hey! Take it easy Cat! I’m still here aren’t I? I just simply teleported myself! It was something I haven’t tried yet, but the cross necklace said it would help me…” Lefty smiled, as she hugged her friend, tears of sympathy flowing down her cheek... “How… How did you do it? How did you control your powers without going wacko’ I mean?” Cat questioned as she looked at her friend in relief…

“Let me answer that in just a few mili-seconds…” Lefty grimaced, as she fell down on the dirt groaning… “Oh my lord Lefty!!!” Cat screamed as she tried to help prop up her friend again… Lefty groaned and re-opened her eyes… “Thanks Cat… I just…” Lefty showed her teeth as she let out a quick yelp and fell back down on the floor again… Cat eyed Lefty with concern as she looked at Lefty, her leg was twitching and jerking constantly as Lefty tried to prop herself up again… “Your leg…” Cat eyed Lefty’s leg, as Lefty huffed heavily from the effort she was using to try and get back up…  “It’s just… *huff* a scrape… *Huff* It didn’t get… *Huff Huff* Through any muscle…” Lefty huffed as she clenched her teeth in pain….

“Mind if I get a quick look?” Cat asked, as she started rolling up Lefty’s brilliantly blue pants leg… Lefty only nodded, as she clawed the dirt/ mud ground as hard as she could… Once the pants leg was rolled back enough for Cat to get a good look, she saw that Lefty had been right and that the bear hadn’t managed to cut any muscle, thanks to her thick coat of fur, but still looked pretty nasty… Regardless, Cat pushed back the fur and examined the cut closer… Lefty only winced, but said nothing as Cat eyed her wound closer… “It seems we got lucky, and it’s just a bad scrape… You think you can manage to get back to camp in a few minutes, in case more of those things appear?” Cat asked nervously, as she looked around at the trees…

Lefty nodded, as she tried to pull herself up to sitting position… “Ya, *Pant* I’ll be okay… the pain is already starting to fade away…” Lefty panted, as she started to regain some of the strength that had been zapped from Lefty’s body… Lefty smiled weakly as she winced a little bit from trying to put weight on her left leg…  “You’re trying too hard right now…” Cat exclaimed nervously as she put her paw behind Lefty’s back…  Lefty only frowned a Cat, “No, I need to get up… If we don’t leave… *huff* We’ll be the prey soon…” Lefty grimaced again, as she put more effort into getting up… Cat said nothing as she watched Lefty wobbly get back up on her legs once more… Lefty weakly smiled, and gave a thumbs up to Cat beside her…

“See… I’m fine… In fact, let’s have a race back! Last furry is a wet pelt!” Lefty giggled as her eyes glowed again and she prepared herself to start running… Cat immediately jumped up and grabbed Lefty’s arm like Space had… “No! You’re too weak right this moment! Think about it, you just released a whole slew of energy!” Cat frowned at Lefty… The childlike energy in Lefty’s eyes faded as Lefty frowned, “Ok… I understand… But really Cat I’m fine… Honestly!” Lefty chirped, as she rolled down her pants leg again… But once Lefty realized that it was just making her pants leg stain, she hastily rolled it back up with a grimace… Cat look at Lefty serious, “You may think that way… But from what I just saw no… You will walk back to camp… And as the healer of the group, it’s my job to declare if you’re fit enough to do things or not… And when we get back, I’m gonna make sure that leg is properly looked at!” Cat snorted in a serious tone, as she quickly picked her sword up from the ground and put it into her bag…

Lefty sheepishly frowned and put back on her hood, but didn’t object to Cat’s orders as she walked back to Cat limping… Cat only looked at Lefty as best as one could see through a hood, and began to walk with Lefty through the mushed plants pathway that Lefty had accidently made; Lefty still limping all the way…

Ok, not the ending i'm sure you guys were expecting, but it was awsome right? so how about Lefty activating her powers on her own this time huh? And what will become of our hero when she returns to camp? Tune in next time for the next chapter in Lefty's Story! :D *Cough* ok, i'm done here.... X3
