Chapter 4

Woot! Here is where our story picks up some speed! :D It's filled with some drama and action! :3 (As shown in picture below) Anyways, enjoy reading this chapter because the next few are kinda slow... X3

O-o wow, Space is realllllyyyy mad... (X3 he's really a teddy bear though... XD) So what made him so mad? 8( Ugh, i'm so agrivated about this pic though! D: Because I had another picture for chapter 4, but then my computer crashed and it didn't save! D: So I had to restart from scratch :( Oh well, At least I could draw my anger I felt about that on this pic! "Argh! I'm Space who's very VERY angry about Lefty not being able to express her anger towards her dumb laptop!" XD XD XD, Sorry Space I just had to do that to your character... X3)

Chapter 4

(Okay, deep breaths…) Lefty breathed, “Err, hi!” Lefty waved sheepishly to a small dwarf that was holding the door open. The dwarf frowned as he stared at Lefty and her group of friends… “Excuse me, but I don’t have time to be bugged by little kids at this current moment” The dwarf snorted, before he started to close the door. A loud “Thwomp!” caused the dwarf to spin back around, as he saw that the same canine Lass had her foot in the door, keeping him from closing it.
Lefty grimaced at the sudden pain that was shooting up her foot at the moment, but valiantly kept it there. “*mmmph!* Look here dwarf! None a single one of us is here to bug ya at the moment!” Lefty grunted, still trying to keep the dwarf from shutting the door on them… She grunted in pain a bit more before she continued, “We’re just here for some information! And we will gladly leave after that! No questions asked!” Lefty pleaded, not caring at the moment if the gang got shelter from the ungrateful dwarf or not…
The dwarf seemed shocked at the young canine’s determination, before sighing and letting the door open back up all the way again. Lefty grimaced in pain before she crouched down and began to rub her foot, mumbling as she did so. “Thanks.” She muttered before standing back up and motioning for the gang to come quickly before the dwarf changed his mind and shut the door again. “We’ll only be a minute or so... Trust me, I don’t want to waste anyone else’s time more than I need to…” Lefty truly thanked the dwarf, as they walked inside.
Both Space, Shila, and the rest of the gang flopped down on whatever chairs they could find in the small study room the dwarf had guided them into.
Lefty groaned as she flopped down on a sheepskin chair. She was tired… Her muscles ached from the gang’s rock climbing adventure. Despite her long legs and really long arms, her body was never truly built for hiking, let alone sports… As Lefty sat there and waited for the dwarf to return from a room next door, she began to brush of the dirt that had collected on her purple striped shirt. Lefty froze as she had brushed down her shirt halfway, there on her shirt was the little blue cross that she had forgotten she had threw over her head.
Lefty gulped as a conclusion ran up to her head, they were really in the story of the prophet, and Lefty was the Prophet. The thought made her start to feel queasy, but hastily tried to pull herself back as a couple of weird looks were shot at Lefty. Lefty quickly coughed, to show that everything was okay, which quickly calmed down the group once more.
A sigh from the corner opposite of Lefty made the group turn around, “Well, as much as I hate to say this… Can you please tell me exactly why we needed to come to this exact house Lefty?” Stripes stared at Lefty impatiently, “I mean, I know that we just wound up in place that we don’t recognize and everything, but intruding into someone’s personal home is another thing…” Stripes glared at Lefty, as if daring her to say something else…
(Oh lord, I’m gonna have to tell them...) Lefty frowned as she opened her mouth, however a sudden “Whoosh!” Interrupted her. The dark haired dwarf had returned from the other room grunting. “Well, not that I like intrusions after sunset…” The dwarf pointed towards a window, indicating his point. “But you had better be stating your personal business now….” The dwarf’s rough tone surprised the group.
Lefty squirmed in her seat, feeling oddly uncomfortable. She didn’t know what to say… She had the courage to barge into here, but she didn’t have the courage to explain why… Lefty sighed as she opened her mouth, but the scooting of another chair immediately caused her to whirl around. Space had gotten up this time, as he walked over to Lefty’s side. Space growled, “I won’t tolerate rudeness…” Space growled, surprising Lefty. “However, because of the situation I will explain…” Space huffed, as he continued. “We came here because we were transported here, and had no other choice but to believe our instinct that you would help us!” Space pointed at the dwarf, as he growled. Lefty gulped, as she squirmed back further into her chair, embarrassed that Space seemed to have caught on better than she thought. “We have nowhere to go, and worse is that we’ve had nothing to eat!” Space continued, “We have also only relied on Lefty’s senses of belief that you, a dwarf whose name I don’t know, would help us!” Space snorted, “I trust Lefty better than anyone I’ve known in my whole life, and that’s saying something! So if my best friend here was wrong, and you cannot help us, then we are leaving!” Space roared, as he slowly started to walk towards the door the gang had entered. He looked at the gang with weary eyes, “C-come on… w-we’re leaving...” Space barely uttered the words, as he reached for the door handle…
The dwarf recoiled in surprise, as if lost for words. “Wait!” The dwarf cried. The gang turned back and looked at the dwarf in surprise; the dwarf seemed to be having trouble making sentences… “W-w-w-w…..” The dwarf stammered, as if he had never talked before. “D-did y-you s-s-say that you friend here j-just knew that she needed to come here?” The dwarf looked at Space, as if puzzled by something…
Space blinked in confusion before looking at the dwarf once more, “Ya, what of it?” Space eyed the dwarf, as if he wasn’t buying him quite yet… The dwarf quickly ran to the back room, as the sounds of objects being thrown around were heard, “Wait just a moment!” The dwarf hollered through the sound of clangs. Space just went back to his chair and sat down, as if not knowing what else to do, while Lefty clung to her chair as if it was the only thing keeping her alive. The rest of the gang just sat the motionless, except for Cat, who gave Lefty some confused looks.
“I’ve got it right here!” A voice huffed, as the clanging died down. The dwarf returned from the back room with a small scroll and sat it down on the table, making dust fly up into the air. He quickly opened the scroll to reveal that words, written in some language that the gang didn’t recognize, were written along with a picture of a canine on it that looked vaguely familiar.
The dwarf huffed before he brushed off the remaining dust that had settled on the scroll. “This here.” The dwarf pointed to the picture, “Is a picture of the one true prophet that is supposed to save Estyren…” The dwarf grumbled, as he left the gang to look at it. Princess quickly ran over to see the picture with ancient markings written below it, “Oooh, that person looks pretty!” Princess gawked at the beautifully hand drawn image. The dwarf rolled his eyes, naïve kids, the dwarf thought as he walked over towards Space and Lefty, who were strangely observing the image from afar. The dwarf then grabbed Lefty by the shoulder and hoisted her up, much to the surprise of the gang as Lefty squawked in surprise as well. “And this here is the very same Prophet who’s going to do that!” The dwarf exclaimed as he pointed to Lefty’s cross necklace. Lefty began to feel hot under the pressure, knowing what was coming up next. “She has the cross stone that will help accomplish this, and you lot are going to help her!” The dwarf snorted, as if he was not too happy with the choice of people who were there.
There was nothing but pure silence for the next five minutes, as the gang just looked at Lefty. One could tell that there was nothing but shock showing on Cat, Princess, and Shila, but Space and Stripes just kind of looked like that had expected something like this. Even though the dwarf had let Lefty go, Lefty just felt like the dwarf should have thrown her through the window. She bit her lip, as if she was waiting for someone to come and attack her. There was nothing more that she wanted to do was just shrink, shrink to the size of a mouse so she could just crawl away… However, all she did was just stand there and wait for someone to speak up…
Ironically it was Cat, Lefty’s most trusted friend, who stood up… Lefty closed her eyes, thinking that Cat was going to start crying and ask her why she lied to them, but Cat simply walked over and patted Lefty. Lefty opened her eyes in surprise to see Cat smiling up at her, “Well, why couldn’t ya have told us? After all, we are your friend’s right? And we’re all going to help you out right?” Cat glared at the group as they nodded in agreement.
Lefty managed to crack a smile, “I just… Didn’t want to freak you guys out or anything… Cause I wasn’t even to sure myself…” Lefty squirmed, as if ants just crawled up her pelt…
The dwarf grunted, as if breaking their silence. “Well, as much as I hate to break up this confrontation…” The dwarf smiled, “If ya’ll are gonna help restore the light and everything to Estyren, and what not. Ya need to be properly equipped for the journey…” The dwarf grunted.
The gang exchanged confused looks before looking at the dwarf in confusion. The dwarf rolled his eyes, typical, he thought before raising his arms in defeat, “Don’t tell me ya didn’t know that you were going to need to be prepared!” The dwarf groaned, “Ya’ll got to help guide the Prophet to the hill of stone, so she can place the cross stone in the pillar of stone to help restore the light to Estryren!” The dwarf groaned, feeling that he was talking to kindergarteners now…
The gang blinked in surprise before Princess walked up to the dwarf, “So, are we really gonna go on a real adventure?” Princess asked, as if she was still confused. The dwarf sighed before lowering down to the youngest Lass of the group, “Yes, my lady… But it will be a hard one… Do you think you can handle it?” The dwarf questioned, hoping that the Lass would understand the seriousness in this adventure. Princess stiffened up before looking at the Dwarf once more, “Yes! Yes I am ready!” Princess hollered back into the dwarf’s face, making the dwarf recoiled in surprise.
The dwarf smiled before straightening up looking at the small group of animals, “Well, if this little Lass is prepared then let’s get to it!” The dwarf smiled as the gang cheered… The dwarf’s face then turned to seriousness, “Right, so first off we need to assign roles.” The dwarf continued as he pointed to Shila, “You will be the archer… You are the most slender designed for the job. You will help keep enemies at bay…” The dwarf smiled at Shila…
Shila blinked in surprise, “W-who me? Well, shucks thanks!” Shila blushed. The dwarf snorted, “No need for thankin’, just keep the Prophet safe from harm before they reach her...” At this Shila stopped blushing and turned serious…
The dwarf then pointed to Princess while smiling, “And you little Lass will be a ranger. Rangers are good at hearing and keeping watch over groups. I know it can be hard holding the heavy weapons they use, but I have no doubt that you can do it… Because you have already proven it…” The dwarf smiled. Princess’ eyes sparkled as she beamed a bright, serious smile at the dwarf…
The dwarf then turned around to Stripes, who was smiling at the corner of the room, just waiting to hear what he was going to be… “Ah yes, the inquisitive one…” The dwarf beamed, “You will be a wizard, similar to what the Prophet over here can do, but more refined…” The dwarf pointed to Lefty before continuing, “You will be in charge of making sure that the front line doesn’t fall by giving then support with your magic…” The dwarf smiled...
The dwarf’s smile faded as he looked over to Space, “And for the brave one here, he will be a Knight… His strength and stamina will make him the main fighter, however because he is young it could be hard for him to adjust to the heavy armor…” The dwarf rubbed his chin as though he was second guessing himself… Space growled, “Hey, pardon me but I’ve had a ton of training back home ok?” Space snorted… The dwarf shrugged, “Fair enough, just don’t over-do it...” He grumbled…
Cat walked up to the dwarf, as if she was wondering why he had chosen her for last… The dwarf noticed this and smiled at the young Lass’ curiosity… “Wondering huh?” The dwarf questioned, making Cat nod in surprise…. “You will be given what I consider one of the most important roles, next to the Prophet that is… You will be known as the healer of the group… Take note that this task does not come easy, but once one knows the right herbs and things, it can be rewarding… It takes a lady’s care to soothe the injured while healing, however do not let fear take hold of you while healing…” The dwarf reply in a much more serious tone…
The dwarf then looked at Lefty, “As you know, you are the Prophet… You will be the last spark of hope and courage in many eyes… Your cross stone there will help guide you for the most part, however you still need some training to help harness it properly…” The dwarf then cleared his throat before continuing, “I see that you hardy and courageous spirit has lead you this far, and that is good to help you harness the power of light better… But you must know that it will take a lot of you energy to use that power, so don’t be a fool with it! There will also be many trials that you will face along the road, so don’t let fear govern you spirit or you will fall! You must also keep your identity hidden as best possible, so you will constantly have to wear clothing to mask your face in case the shadows spot you… They can manifest in people too, so trust no one!” The dwarf frowned, as he noticed that Lefty looked uncomfortable hearing this…
The dwarf sighed as he walked over to her, trying to comfort her as he spoke, “Do not fear, you will not be alone... I will give both you and the Healer a special hood, identical so that way the shadows will not know who is the real Prophet… The hoods give off light energy, so they will mask you from being sensed… However, for the life of everyone don’t take off the hood! The energy will surge out, causing the shadows to know exactly where you are…”
Lefty felt like someone had just hit her in the chest, she breathed heavily as she felt like the whole world was going to crush her… Shila immediately ran over to Lefty and jumped up and down excitedly, “Hey isn’t this great? First I get to meet you guys in real life, and know I get to go on an adventure with you!” Shila giggled as she bobbed up and down like and excited wolf pup would… Lefty quickly cleared her throat and smiled, “Err, ya it’s great… Just us... No one else here…. Not my parents, nor, my family, not even my boyfriend….” Lefty frowned…
A loud, “Slap!” Was heard as the gang jumped. “Well, I’m sure that you lot are excited and all, but what’s more important is that the Prophet gets some sleep so she can help us in our time of need…” The dwarf smiled as he looked at the poor overwhelmed canine Lass. “We’ll start training tomorrow for you, young prophet…” He smiled, “The rest of you ain’t so lucky, we can’t get weapons until tomorrow; however that doesn’t mean we can’t read up on some good old fashioned skills, right?” The dwarf smiled as he shoved the gang into another room…
Lefty gasped as she stared at a large room with enough beds to sleep on for twice as many people as Lefty’s group… The dwarf huffed, as he put his hands on his hips, “well don’t just stand the gawking all day! Go ahead and choose a bed before the sun comes back up!” The dwarf grumbled…
The gang seemed to race to try and grab a bed that suited them the most, except for Lefty who waited until everyone had a bed when she chose a medium sized bed that had soft sheets… The gang then set down whatever items they had, if any, before one by one, they each walked back to the dwarf, save Lefty. As Lefty started to make herself comfortable, she looked at the dwarf one last time… “Um, thanks for helping us, err….” Lefty paused, realizing that none of them had even asked for the dwarf’s name yet…
Toby…” The same voice echoed inside her head, Lefty realized. It was the cross necklace that had been speaking to her… “Name’s Toby…” The dark haired dwarf smiled, as he shut the door… Lefty immediately dove herself deeper into the covers, “Right, night Toby...” Lefty muttered, as drowsiness set in…

(O-o So what did you think? Like it? Idk, but for some reason I imagined that if me and my freinds were trapped in another dimension, with a hostile dwarf, Space would be the first one to crack after me. XD But in all seriousness, I tend to write my characters more realistic to what would happen if we were in that certain situation... So, this chapter is really serious in my story plot, but I had to lighten the mood. :3)

Chapter 3

Alright, so here is another quick chapter that I could upload fast! :3 Enjoy!

Here is the thrid picture for the third chapter! It's the gang looking at the strange town with the big tree in the middle of desert village! :3

Chapter 3

“Ugh, why do we have to walk to our destination? We could wait for a bus…” Princess groaned, obviously not used to physical labor… Lefty groaned, “Just a little bit farther….” Lefty replied reassuringly… “Just over this hill…” Lefty huffed as the group climbed the dirt hill. Princess didn’t seem very happy about that… “That’s what you said the last time!” Princess whined… Lefty grumbled, but said nothing more to Princess…
A sudden cough emerged from the back of the hiking gang, “*Cough!* Cough!* Ugh, Lefty! How are you so certain that it’s just over this hill? The dust is aggravating my Asthma!” Stripes groaned in between coughs. Lefty simply grunted at Stripes, but made no signs of a reply. Space seemed to notice this, “Stripes is right…” Space frowned, “How exactly do you know that it’s just over this hill? It’s not like we have a map, and besides…” Space stopped for a moment, looking for the right words to use… “It’s not like you to know directions that well unless you have been there before… I-is there something that you are specifically not telling us?” Space questioned, waiting to see if Lefty snapped on his question or not.
Lefty jerked suddenly, as if to answer Space’s hunch… “Grrr… Look, it’s not like I have exact knowledge of where we are ok?! If I say that it’s right over this hill then it IS! Why not trust me a bit better, ok?” Lefty growled, knowing that he had got her with his choice of words… She then quickly sighed, “Look, if it’s not just over this hill we can debate it from there, but for now I’m hungry and my stomach says that dinner is JUST OVER THIS HILL!” Lefty grumbled irritably… She knew that anger wasn’t the best way to solve the issue at hand, but for right now niceness and patience could wait… The overwhelming urge for food typically caused her to be grumpy, and when she was grumpy nothing went her way… She made a mental note in her head that she would apologize once they reached the village and smoothed out all the bumps in the road…
The group stared in shock at Lefty, save Shila who had never known who Lefty truly was like in real life and was simply just looking at Lefty odd, they hardly ever saw Lefty get angry, unless she was either hungry, or something was bugging her… In this case it seemed like both were applied…
Shila looked over at Cat who was climbing next to her at the present moment, “So Cat, right? I’ve never really seen Lefty in real life before; can you tell me if she’s always like that?” Shila asked nervously… Cat shook her head before continuing up the hill, “Not really…” Cat whispered… “She’s typically the most optimistic, friendliest bud you could ever wish for. However, few cases do apply, such as when she’s in an odd spot such as this…” Cat frowned, “Then, she just well… Blows up…” Cat sighed. Shila blinked before looking at Lefty again and then back down to the group, and finally back to Cat. “Is Lefty like some kind of natural born leader or something? I mean, everyone is just following her, like it’s her thing or something…” Shila looked at Cat odd, wondering. Cat shook her head, “No. She’s not really… I don’t quite know why everyone is following her at the moment.” Cat replied, “Perhaps, it’s just because we’re all hungry and Lefty seems to know where she’s going… Otherwise, she’s more of a go with the flow kind of person… She likes to put in her ideas in every once and a while, but she typically let’s everyone do their own thing… However, if the team seems like it needs a leader, she gladly steps in…” Cat chuckled…
Shila blinked in surprise before continuing to climb, “O…. Well, I guess that kind of explains it…” She smiled, “It just feels weird hanging out with people I don’t know… It helps to understand what’s going on. But, I can’t understand why Lefty would be so snappy then…” Shila grunted as she tripped over a large rock. Cat shrugged, “Like I said, perhaps it’s just the situation… I don’t know either, but judging by the looks of it, we’re not going to catch up with the group!” Cat giggled as she and Shila both raced back to where the group was.

“Right over there! I see the village! I told you guys! My stomach never lies!” Lefty hollered, as the rest of the group scrammed up the mountain to catch up, leaving poor Princess tripping over every single rock trying to catch up to them. Luckily Cat and Shila were there to help the much younger canine get up.
Space stared in awe as a whole village was laid out right before his eyes. The lush greenery was what really took his breath away the most, since they were in the middle of a desert. It almost looked like a mirage as a giant tree loomed in the center of the village.
“I- I can’t believe that a whole village could survive in such a desolate place as this!” Space stared in awe… Lefty quickly pushed past him and began to run down the hill, carefully making sure that the dry wind didn’t blow her classic favorite purple striped shirt over her head. “Who cares? It’s food time!” Lefty hollered, kicking dirt up around herself. Stripes quickly followed suit, squealing like a little kid without a care, down the hill. “No way Lefty! I’m gonna eat everything before you do! We Utah folks have bigger stomachs, so we get more food than you do!” Stripes teasingly yelled at Lefty. As the rest of the gang ran down the hill, Space could hear Lefty hollering at Stripes for pushing past her, “No fair Stripes! Just cause Utah people have bigger stomachs doesn’t mean that they get all the food! In fact they should have less and save some for the rest of the group!” Lefty roared, now running at full speed on low stamina.
“Would you guys save it for after we eat?” Princess grunted as the group reached the bottom of the hill. She then looked around, “Um, so now what Lefty? Do you know where we’re supposed to stay for the grub?” Princess questioned, as her stomach growled in agreement.
Lefty blinked in surprise as she looked at the village now, (Oh man, it’s sooooo much bigger that I thought it would be!) Lefty’s mind whirled… “First door on the right.” The same mysterious voice echoed in her mind, causing Lefty to remember. “Uh, this door!” Lefty pointed, as she ran up and knocked on the door…
The group looked at Lefty in confusion, but said no more until a “Clunk!” was heard, followed by the sound of a door squeaking open… “Yes? How can I aid you?” A mysterious voice questioned…

Lol, what's gonna happen next? Toon in next time, or next week for the next chapter! :D

Lol, this picture looked so hilarious when I was putting the shading on it! X3
But just to help explain what it's about, I shall tells you. :3
It's the part where Stripes is asking Lefty if she was the Prophet or not, and Lefty is doing a semi- good job at hiding her answer. X3

Chapter 2

A scream came from behind Lefty, causing her to rapidly turn around and see Princess, Lefty’s little cousin, but also one of her most curious friends, collapse on her knees and start to scream her head off. “Were all doomed!!! Nothing good will come of this! We have been cursed!” Princess moaned while pounding the dirt floor… Lefty immediately ran over to Princess and roughly grabbed her by the shoulders, trying to pick her up as she growled, “Hush up now! You made me skip a heartbeat!” Lefty grumbled as both Lefty and Princess slowly stood up, “The last thing we need to do is panic! We’re not doomed; we’re just lost at the moment! And crying over it won’t help! We need to figure out some things before we start doing that!” Lefty grumbled while she dusted herself off.
Princess was shocked at Lefty’s sudden rough tone, but hastily silenced herself before nodding in agreement. Seeing that Princess had calmed down for the moment, Lefty quickly faced herself towards Cat and the rest of the gang. “Right, so first off we need to establish some things.” Lefty continued, looking at her friends, “What was everyone doing before they found themselves here?” Lefty questioned, hoping to find the same answer to their problem.
Lefty’s friends started looking at each other, and then back to Lefty. “Excuse me, but did you say your name was Lefty?” A voice asked from the back of Lefty’s group. Immediately, the gang parted to show that an ice blue wolf with golden eyes and a purple streak running through her mane had asked the question. Lefty seemed shocked that she had never seen this wolf before, but however she let it continue as she eye-balled her a little closer to try and figure out who she was. The wolf stepped forward with her chin held high as if she knew that this was some sort of important event before continuing, “Would you perhaps be the very same Lefty that I know lives in the US? If yes, than you will know that my name is Shila, you know from the Philippines?” The wolf named Shila shifted her feet, waiting for an answer…
Lefty’s mind whirled, “Shila? How in the universe did you get here?!” Lefty smiled, running up and hugging her friend for the first time in person. Shila smiled and gently hugged her back, “Phew, I’m glad I’m not just dreaming here! There’s no way I would have been able to imagine you up!” Shila laughed as the two friends hugged a little longer…
A tall, blond, male canine with a blue marking around his right eye, walked up towards Lefty, nervously shaking. “Wait a minute, Lefty? How exactly did we end up in Estyren? Did you really dimension travel us all here or something?” The blond canine asked nervously, while looking around at the dull, dirty, desert-like, scenery. Lefty blinked in surprise before letting go of Shila, (Estyren? We’re actually in the book?) Lefty frowned, “Really, Stripes, do you honestly think I could do that?” Lefty giggled as she gently flicked him for using the old ‘dimension travel’ joke they played on each other every once and a while, due to their freakish ability to think the exact same thing at the exact same time, thus making the joke that Lefty was a dimension traveler.
Stripes laughed at Lefty before coughing a little, “No, *cough* I didn’t think so… Just testing…” He grinned before looking at the rest of Lefty’s friends… “So I suppose that these are the rest of your friends’ right? Oh man, does that mean that you’re the Prophet?” Stripes laughed.
Lefty frowned, “No! What makes you say that?!” Lefty growled, causing everyone to back away in shock… “Please, just because the scenery here looks different, doesn’t mean that we’re in that dumb old book.” She frowned, obviously hurt that Stripes had guessed right…
A tan mountain lion with a brown streak across his head slowly emerged from the back of the group where Princess was still standing, trying to calm herself down still. “Hang on here…” The tan mountain lion scratched his head, “So does anyone have the foggiest idea as to where we are right now?” The lion questioned.
Lefty shrugged, “Well, I was at home online, talking to Shila over here.” Lefty pointed at Shila, “When my power went out, that’s when I decided to rest on my bed and then, well…” Lefty hesitated, deciding that it was best not explain the rest to her friends… “So ya, I don’t know how I got here either Space…” Lefty frowned, hoping that Space, the mountain lion, couldn’t read her like a book…
Space rubbed his chin, “Sounds about right, although I was sleeping on a road trip that my church was taking…” he frowned, “And then I was here.” He snorted, looking at the rest of the group.
Cat immediately sprang up from where she was sitting on the dirt, “Same, except I was drawing when I got tired and fell asleep…” Cat smiled sheepishly.
Suddenly a light bulb clicked in the group’s head. “Okay, so we all had sudden sleepy spells…” Shila frowned, “That still doesn’t explain as to where we are now, and more importantly how we’re going to get food.” Shila grumbled, pointing to her stomach.
Head north…” A mysterious voice spoke to Lefty through her head, causing her to suddenly jump. Lefty then stood up and faced the group looking at them in confusion. “Did you guys say something?” Lefty asked out of confusion. The group looked at Lefty weird before shrugging and continuing to debate as to what and where they needed to go. “They cannot hear me…” The mysterious voice continued, making Lefty quiver a little bit. “If you head north you will find a small village under the name of ‘desert light village’. Once inside you must enter the first building to you right. There dwells a good elf, who can help you from there.” The voice whispered into Lefty’s head, making her feel a bit uncomfortable. “Don’t worry, I am a friend… I cannot harm you, I’m only here to give you information, and to help along with you quest… You must trust me if you wish to survive…” The voice whispered one last reassuring time, before Lefty finally decided to calm down.
Lefty blinked, as if coming back into reality, and began to wave her arms around while whistling as loud as she could. “Hey!!! I know where to go!!!” Lefty hollered over the arguing crowd, making everyone stare at her in confusion… “And how exactly do you know where to go?” Space frowned, obviously not believing her… Lefty ignored the question and continued, “It’s just north of here! There’s a little village… From there we can get some food at the first building to our right!” Lefty huffed, hoping that they would believe her without asking too many questions…
Stripes shrugged and stared at everyone else, “Better what anyone else’s ideas are…” He sighed, “Besides, once we get some food we can sort this mess out and maybe figure out how we can all get home… Bus or plane…” Stripes frowned, although tried to sound optimistic so everyone didn’t freak out on him.
The gang exchanged blank looks before nodding in agreement, and setting off north….

Ok, see ya nxt week or earlier! :3

Author’s note:
To my dearest friends and readers alike! I’ve had so much fun writing this story for you all to read! I think that you will find that they all have very colorful personalities that I shall never forget to this day… However, I must warn you that this story is a Christian story; so if you don’t like it I’d advise that you read no further… Regardless, I think that you will still find this story exciting no matter what kind of a background you have… So go somewhere quiet and curl up, while you read the tale of six heroes who learn that no matter what seemingly impossible task may be in front of them, the light is always there with them…
Prologue
“There are times when even the most loyal and honest of people face a challenge that they cannot overcome alone… Some will seek out others to accompany them, some will not… However, the challenge may be too great even then! That is when one must make a decision… Will you turn your back away from the light, or will your will be strong enough to enter the Kingdom of God?”

Chapter 1

“Lefty come on, or we will not make it to school!” A female voice hollered to a small canine Lass drawing in her bedroom. “Coming mom!” The canine named Lefty hollered back as she hastily set down her drawing pad and ran out the room. However, the feminine voice was not pleased quickly enough as a large ‘Slam!’ echoed outside… (Man, I’m really pushing it today! Mom’s right, but I can’t just stop the random impulses I get when I want to draw! Perhaps traffic won’t be so bad…) Lefty grimaced as she threw her rolling back pack into the Pt. cruiser and got in.
“Cutting it a little close today aren’t we?” Lefty’s mom half- hardily joked. Lefty looked at her mom and blinked, “Hey, I can’t help it! Whenever I get that sudden impulse to draw I just can’t help it!” she frowned. “Uh- huh…” Lefty’s mom teased as she tried to keep her eyes on the road with out laughing, “I know that you like to draw, but last night and this morning are cutting it a little close… I’m not saying that you shouldn’t draw however there is a time and a place for everything you know…” She frowned. Lefty sighed, “Ya, I know that… But, sometimes I just can’t help it! Anyways, I’m sorry about staying up so late… However, I think I’ll do great on my Spanish II test today!” Lefty grinned to her mom. They were nearly to school now…
The Pt. stopped at the red light as the Pt’s turning signal flickered on, off, on, off… A collective sigh could be heard coming from Lefty’s mom as she tapped her fingers on the dashboard… She then looked at her daughter, “Honey, I know that you’ll ace that test… There’s really nothing to worry about, besides even if you totally failed it (like you would…) it wouldn’t matter because you’d still pass the class… Suddenly the light turned green and the Pt. quickly zoomed across the four lane… Lefty sighed a sigh of relief and exhaustion as she stared at the ever so quickly moving scenery until at last, both the public library and Lefty’s school were in view…
“Brrrrrrriiiiiiiiinnnnnnggggg!!!!!” The school’s bell shouted, as a mob of students rushed out of doorways. Once again the hallways seemed to be filled with excited chatter as Lefty started walking towards her locker. She groaned, “Sometimes it’s as if the whole world is like a giant ant’s nest waiting to crawl up your pants…” she muttered to no one in particular… She then started rolling the numbers on her lock until a ‘Click!’ was heard. Lefty then suddenly thrust open the door to her locker as she started piling up her old books, and then quickly taking down her fourth period book.
“Can you believe it Spots?!” A new voice behind Lefty spoke, “That new book that everyone has been reading seems to leave people asking more mysterious questions about who the hero truly is!” The voice squealed in delight. Lefty quickly identified who the mysterious voice was that was talking, but made sure that her head wasn’t turned so it would look like she wasn’t eavesdropping. Spots seemed to chuckle behind her, “You know, Thistle, not all of us have gotten to the fifth book in the series The prophet yet…” Spots snorted… Thistle giggled, “Tee he hee! I know that Spots, but doesn’t it make you wonder exactly why the Prophet had to go to the mysterious land of Estyren in the first place?” Thistle questioned.
Lefty slammed her locker, grabbing the attention of both Thistle and Spots behind her… Lefty hastily put her books in her rolling backpack and stormed off, much to the confusion of everyone behind her… Lefty didn’t care what they thought, she hated hearing about that book… It started back a couple of semesters when the first book had been released. Her best bud at school, Stripes, had insisted that she read it… At first Lefty was skeptical, but she was soon drawn into reading the mysterious book. It even came with a neat little blue cross necklace!
The prophet was placed in a medieval timeline, with a few exceptions of some items being futuristic, however the story seemed more up to date with what modern people’s lifestyle was today. The prophet, or the hero, was somehow magically transported to the land of Estyren along with a couple of the prophet’s best buds. With no memory of exactly how they got there, the gang soon finds out that survival wasn’t an easy thing to do… With the ‘dark shadow’ nipping at their heels around every turn, it seemed like their goal would never be accomplished. To return the light that once dwelled in Estyren
Lefty spent hours reading the first and the second book that had come out at the time; sometimes completely setting off her homework until the very last minute! Lefty was so thrilled when she got the third book; she had locked herself in her bedroom all day. She quickly opened the book up and began to read. After an hour a loud “SLAM!” was heard from Lefty’s bedroom, setting her mom off as she ran into her child’s bedroom. “Lefty are you ok?!” Lefty remembered her mom screaming as she opened the door. There was Lefty sitting on her bed frowning at her book lying on the floor. “It’s not fair mom!” Lefty huffed as she toyed with her cross necklace she got from the first book, “Why can’t the prophet tell anyone that the dark shadow is following them?! I mean, doesn’t the Prophet even care a bit about his friends?!” Lefty frowned as she picked back up the book and pointed to a certain section… “I’ve even looked at the ending! The dark shadow ends up killing one of his friends! And all he does is just walk away!” At this Lefty threw the book back on the floor and mumbled something that her mom couldn’t hear… Lefty’s mom sighed and picked up the strange book that had intrigued her daughter for many months. She sighed as she flipped through the pages of the book until she reached a page that caught her eye. It showed a swirly black thing at the corner of the page, and at the other side was a man in a hood holding a person that looked pale all over. Lefty’s mom grimaced at the picture and then closed the book, “Well, if you don’t want to read it I understand… However, don’t scare me like that again Lefty. It made me think you had passed out or something…” Lefty mom huffed before she closed the door again.
Lefty blinked as those old memories came back into her head. Ever since that event had happened, Lefty vowed that she would never read, lest look at the little cross shape necklace again… She hated that book and the event that occurred at the end… It disturbed her for some reason, and she felt unnerved by it… (Just forget about it… It was in the past; it’s time to move forward and think about physics…) Her mind tried to soothe her, but Lefty didn’t seem to hear it as she silently trudged thru the rain to her college class.

“I’m sooooooooooooooooooo tired!!!” Lefty groaned as she dragged her rolling backpack into her bedroom and plopped down. She looked at her clock, 3:00 pm on the nose… Lefty flicked her tail irritably as she began to rummage through her backpack. She quickly set down her Spanish book that always seemed to follow her home every day, followed by her US history book. Lefty mumbled as she dove deeper into her backpack to find her glasses. For some reason, today they were playing hide and seek… She felt through the ocean of pencils until her hands finally found the item she was looking for… “Gotcha!” She smiled triumphantly, as she pulled her glasses case out of her backpack.
“Clunk!” a noise echoed thru her bedroom. Lefty flinched quickly before slowly leaning over to where the source of the noise was coming from. Lefty quickly jumped when she saw what had disrupted her concentration. It was the same little blue cross that came from the book that Lefty had been thinking about earlier that day. “The prophet” Lefty whispered as she picked up the necklace. “So how exactly did you get in here?” Lefty smiled. The blue cross necklace seemed to be refracting the sunlight as in response to Lefty’s question. Lefty squeaked in surprise as the sunlight temporarily blinded her. She laid down on her bed and chuckled, “I meant to get rid of this necklace long ago, but it seems like instead it wished to stay a bit longer…” Lefty cracked a smile. Memories flooded into her mind as she thought about the good times she had with her friends, reading the book that is… Stripes seemed the most eager about reading the Prophet, due to him bugging her about exactly how much faster he was going to read it than her. Lefty would of course gently flick him on the ear to get him to be quiet while she read the book during lunch…
A sudden spark of something she needed to do sent her back into reality. (Oh fruit! I forgot to check the internet before I start working on homework!) Lefty frowned, as she unknowingly threw the cross necklace over her head and dashed out the door. Lefty’s parents were busy doing another big project this month, so they were constantly going to some hardware store to get supplies. Lefty sat down in her computer chair and waited impatiently for the computer to boot up. Once that was accomplished she checked her favorite video sharing website to see what her Philippines friend was doing… (Nothing new… that’s okay...) Lefty frowned as she stared at the computer screen for a moment before deciding to refresh the page…
“Boop!” The new message icon suddenly lit up. Lefty blinked in surprise as she saw it was from her Philippines friend, Shila, who never was on at this time of day. She hastily opened her inbox and read, “Hey buddy! I know I’m on really late, but I couldn’t sleep… I hope you’re online so we could maybe talk?” Lefty nearly laughed as she typed back a reply, “Sure why not… I’ve got a few hours to kill before I have to do some homework, what’s up?” Lefty waited a few moments before another “Boop!” appeared. “Kool. Hey I heard that you’re latest animation project you posted has reached at least 600 visits today! How did you do it?” Shila asked, seeming astonished. Lefty blinked in surprise as she typed back a reply, “Really?! That’s NEVER happened b4! I’ll check it out later…” Lefty replied. In few more seconds another reply appeared, “That’s fine… Well, my power just went out at my house. O-o better get off b4 my laptop runs out of battery, ttyl.” Shila replied. Lefty nearly laughed, “Haha! Only that kind of thing happens when you stay up past bedtime!” Lefty typed.
Suddenly the light started flickering at Lefty’s house. “O-o, great now you’ve jinxed me! My house lights are going crazy!” Lefty typed. “Zap!” The house lights went out completely… Lefty quivered, “Great, now they’re all the way out… Ok, better get off my laptop too b4 my battery dies, who knows how long they could stay out…” Lefty moaned as she sent the letter. No reply came… Lefty started feeling an odd sensation about the situation, but simply shut her laptop off and walked back to her bedroom to start on homework.
(Sigh* I’m sooooo bored… That dumb power company reallllllly needs to fix those power lines so they won’t fall down every time a tree limb touches the lines!) Lefty huffed. She then turned over on her bed to be more comfortable and to get a better look outside. (Oh well, at least the power’s out in the day and not at night. If that happened I’d be really nervous…) Lefty grumbled, as the sunlight seemed to enter the bedroom; filling the bedroom with the warmth of the light… (Oooooo, that feels so goooood……….) Lefty smiled and closed her eyes, absorbing the warmth. It was not long before Lefty was sound asleep thinking about all of her good friends…

Mumble* n-nooooo…. Y-you can’t have her! You just can’t! A voice growled… we have to keep moving at all costs if we’re going to survive this wind! Another voice howled. I can’t go any farther! If I take one more step I’ll fall over! Some familiar voice whined… Ugh, I’m sooo sick of this! When can we leave?! An impatient voice grumbled… Lefty! No Lefty! You can’t leave us… Please don’t leave…. Lefty!!!!!!!!!!!! A voice screamed, jumbling Lefty from her sleep… “*Gasp!* WH-what?” Lefty breathed… She then rubbed her eyes, hoping to wipe away the black dreariness that seemed to engulf her… But no matter how hard she tried to wipe the darkness away, it continued to stay… Lefty started to panic, “what is going on?! Someone, anyone! Get me out of here!”  Lefty screamed as hard as she could. “Lefty….” A voice seemed to whisper. Lefty turned to where the voice had come from but saw nothing. “Do not fear…. I am here to help….” The voice cooed. Lefty didn’t seem to fully trust this voice but looked at where the voice was coming from. “Sh-show yourself!” Lefty roared. “Peace… I am here to help guide you. Listen closely…” The voice whispered, as a bright flash of light filled the room causing Lefty to recoil in surprise… Lefty soon got used to the light and stared towards the light direction as best as she could… “Lefty, you are the Prophet… You will help save us all… Lefty…. Lefty…. Lefty……….” The voice trailed off, as Lefty drifted off again…
Lefty… Lefty…. Lefty………..” Now the voice sounded familiar… “Lefty…. Lefty! Oh lord, please wake up! Lefty!!!!!” The voice screamed, causing Lefty to jolt awake. “Huh, what!?” Lefty bolted upright looking at who was talking to her. A small tan cat with an unmistakable spot around the eye was looking directly at her. “She’s awake! Thank goodness! So that makes us all accounted for!” The tan cat sighed in relief. Lefty looked up in confusion, “Cat? Why are you in my house? And what do you mean by ‘we’re all accounted for’? Lefty frowned. Cat looked at Lefty nervously, “Um, Lefty you might want to look where you are…” Lefty bolted up at this and nervously looked around, “Oh- my- Lord…..” There standing before Lefty’s eyes was her best friends and one person she couldn’t recognize, but besides that, they were standing in a land that Lefty didn’t recognize… “Um, guys… I don’t think we’re in the Great Smoky Mountains anymore...”
