Chapter 23

Alright! Here's Chapter 23! Hope you guys like it! ^^

Chapter 23

Lefty nearly wanted to cringe in frustration at the cross necklace… It never seemed to give her a break from anything! All she really wanted was just some peaceful sleep for once, but no it just seemed to want to plague her with crazy dreams! She knew they had come up before a couple of days ago, but Lefty simply shrugged them off since they didn't seem to make much sense… But now all the pieces were coming together, and she couldn't just ignore them…
Yet at the same time she so badly wanted to…
This really ticked Lefty off because she realized that just like the book, things had to end badly… But she didn't want to believe it… She could not believe it…
“*yawn*~ Lefty…? What are you doing up so late…? And why did you have to turn on your necklace so bright?” A sleepy voice questioned… Lefty quickly turned around to find that it was Shila who had gotten up, and almost wanted to question her as to why she was up as well, but instead she simply sighed and shook her head… “It’s nothing… Just got up for some water…” Lefty replied…
Shila simply stood there and blinked away her grogginess as she pressed against the doorway… “*Yawn* It doesn't … Look that way to me… *snort* Why would your cross necklace be glowing so brightly then?” Shila frowned as she went over to the towel bin and rubbed her face clean with a towel…
Lefty knew she was caught and decided not to make it any harder than what it needed to be… “Okay fine… You got a minute?” Lefty sighed defeated as she walked out of the room and pointed to Raven’s study room…
Shila blinked at Lefty for a moment, but finally nodded as she followed Lefty into the room… Lefty took her time sitting down in a chair and grunted as she did… Shila then quickly picked a chair that would be easy to see Lefty from…
“Okay so there’s something I haven’t mentioned…” Lefty grumbled as she moved about nervously… Shila looked at Lefty with an eyebrow, but said nothing… “No nothing like that! I would have told you if it was that important!” Lefty sighed as she rubbed her temples… “I just realized how important it was… Otherwise I probably would have been telling you beforehand…” Lefty frowned…
She then continued…
“I- I've been having these dreams...” Lefty murmured as she nervously fidgeted with the fabric… Shila only looked at Lefty with interest, but let her continue… “I know, kinda sappy… But at first these dreams didn’t really make much sense to me, so I just ignored them thinking they were nothing new and such…” Lefty shrugged…
“But why did you have those dreams?” Shila asked curiously… “Well, I wasn't quite sure… Until tonight...” Lefty nervously giggled a little… “What makes tonight so special?!” Shila asked, annoyed at Lefty if this was really worth getting up for or not… "Well, tonight all of my previous dreams kinda ‘clicked’…” Lefty replied…
“Well before I explain, I forgot to ask you if you had even read “The prophet” before…” Lefty replied... Shila blinked in confusion as to why she would bring that up, but nodded her head. “Ya, I did a little… But I only got half way through book one before I got bored with all the details and such…” Shila laughed a bit…
Lefty’s face suddenly went very grim, making Shila look at Lefty with a lot of concern… “Well, do you mind if I give you a spoiler then?” Lefty whispered, as if the words were being choked out of her… Shila cocked her head, “Uh, sure I guess… It won’t really matter now since we’re stuck in this other world…” She shrugged… Lefty clutched her chair really hard, “In the third book… *snort* About middle way, someone dies….” Lefty replied rather cold, as she fought back tears…
Shila’s face suddenly went grim as she ran over to where Lefty was sitting… “Oh… Oh…! No Lefty, that’s not going to happen to you or anyone!” Shila quickly grabbed her as she tried to comfort Lefty as she started crying… “No… no, that’s not going to happen… It’s different here… The book lied Lefty…” Shila nervously tried to calm her down, while inside she was really crying too…
Lefty snorted through her tears as she tried to regain control of her emotions… “Then…. Then why…? Why would I have a dream like that….?” Lefty sobbed, as her emotions flared back up… Shila sat right next t o Lefty, “I don’t really know… Perhaps it is true, but perhaps it’s not. Maybe it's a vision that we need to change…” Shila absent mindedly thought to herself...
Lefty had stopped crying for a moment… “I just don’t know anymore… But I don’t want to die!” Lefty sobbed…. Shila quickly grabbed Lefty’s shoulder and squeezed it… “I want you to listen… No one is going to die… Not if I can help it… Nor would Space, Stripes, Cat, or even Princess would allow that to happen to you… You know it… You’re the leader. You need to be strong for the rest of us, ok? You’ll be ok, I promise…” Shila sighed as she heard Lefty finally go quiet…
“*Sniff* Ya, I know… I know that… Thanks Shila… I’ll be strong… I promise…” Lefty quietly replied as she got up… Shila stood up too, “Good, now as the Archer of the group, that makes me in charge of keeping danger from hurting us before it reaches us; I want to forewarn you to get some good sleep so you will be ready for tomorrow, got it?” Shila smiled as she pretended she was a military leader… Lefty grinned between her dried up tears as she stood up… “Ma’am yes ma’am!” Lefty chuckled, as the two walked back to the bedrooms and went to sleep….

Meh... I ain't got much to say here. Slow updates are slow. Anyways, things shouldn't be too slow in the next couple of chapters...
